The Sr. Planner , Strategic Planning is a critical role within Tinuiti’s Client Strategy team. The role is focused on promoting and expanding Tinuiti’s Strategic Planning function and is the fit for someone with deep experience telling stories that resonate using planning and research tools. . You are eager to be a resource that develops account strategies, testing roadmaps, and media mix plans. You are not satisfied with the status quo, and are hungry for strategic, insightful innovation. You have a  proven track record of success at leading progressive strategies, growing business, training up and mentoring talent.You are eager to be a resource to clients, sales, & media teams to develop account strategies, testing roadmaps, and media mix plans; and you possess the superior presentation skills to communicate them to clients, prospects, and team effectively. 

Essential Functions:

  • Collaborate with the Director of Strategic Planning to develop the direction of the groups offering, advancing our strategic capabilities. 

  • Produce & templatize the core outputs of Tinuiti’s planning tool suite

  • Provide strategic guidance to teams and lead trainings on uncovering consumer insights and translating them into ideas that address client challenges

  • Lead key business relationships with Tinuiti’s planning tool partners. Evaluate and roadmap the further development of Tinuiti’s suite of tools in collaboration with the Director of Strategic Planning. 

  • Leverage the current tool set to extract data that can then be creatively crafted into concise stories that engage, inspire and motivate clients to drive change.  

  • Provide client teams/new business insight on vertical specific strategic priorities,  capturing opportunities for growth, and overcoming measurement challenges that may exist

  • Provide quarterly landscape and audience  overviews with potential strategic implications for our clients"

  • Takes a leadership role on consultancy opportunities focused on media mix and audience development

  • Instill a break it approach to strategy and the role of media to unlock growth and develop new case studies for brands and the agency

 

Core Competencies:

  • Planning Tools – Knows the ins and out of pulling data from 3rd Party Planning tools and finding key insights. Familiar with the landscape of tools available in the industry, their strengths and weaknesses. 

  • Presentation Skills- Effective in a variety of formal presentation settings, gains positive attention, changes tactics that aren't working

  • Resourcefulness; the ability to research, find and deliver actionable insights

  • Drive: Does not settle simply for “good”, always strives to deliver the highest quality of work

  • Insights: Possess the ability to see the heart of an issue and respond accordingly

  • Able to review results and performance of paid media campaigns based on predetermined success indicators, determine effectiveness and report back to client

Requirements:

  • 4-5 years of media buying, planning & strategy experience

  • Strong POV of industry planning, insights, and competitive tools - such as Comscore, Kantar, Commspoint, MRI, etc… 

  • Expert knowledge of the media landscape

  • Ability to build relationships with clients and peers

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, specifically around presentations

The hiring salary range for this role is $70,000 - $80,000 plus a discretionary performance bonus.

Hiring salaries are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, parity with other team members, and alignment with market data. We will provide more information on our benefits, incentive pay,  and equity upon request. Disclosure as required by the Colorado Equal Pay for > Equal Work Act, C.R.S. § 8-5-101 et seq.
