Job responsibilities:
- Drive next-generation web UI development and provide technical thought leadership by leveraging modern engineering practices and collaborating with product owners, UX designers, and backend developers.
- Rapidly prototype creative solutions and facilitate consensus on technical vision within the team.
- Contribute to and utilize open, standards-based solutions to ensure interoperability and scalability.
- Identify opportunities for process and tool improvements, driving initiatives from concept through to implementation.
- Develop secure, high-quality production code that meets business and technical requirements.
- Review, debug, and provide constructive feedback on code written by others to maintain code quality.
- Influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations or processes through expertise and insight.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in one or more specialized areas of focus.
- Advocate for the adoption of firm wide frameworks, tools, and software development lifecycle (SDLC) best practices.
- Influence peers and decision-makers to embrace leading-edge technologies and innovative approaches.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
- Experience in big data environments, working with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
- Strong hands-on experience with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, RxJS, NPM, ReactJS, Redux AngularJS, JQuery, NodeJS, and Bootstrap.
- Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services, including Lambda, ECS, RDS, EMR, and Glue.
- Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle and advanced understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
- Proficient in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines.
- Proficient in cloud-native microservices architecture, design, and implementation.
- Proficient in application containerization.
- Proficient in building applications on public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), with AWS experience strongly preferred.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Knowledge of automated build and testing tools for UI components (e.g., Jenkins, Jasmine).
- knowledge of Java programming language.
- knowledge of software applications and technical processes, with expertise in one or more disciplines (cloud, AI, ML, mobile, etc.).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a rapidly changing environment.
- Cloud certifications would be a plus (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP)
