With a team of over 50 across multiple insurance disciplines of Operations, Claim, Anti-Fraud, Finance, Actuarial and Data Analytics, we move quickly and have clear insight into how we make an impact. JOB DESCRIPTION:

Performs a combination of duties in accordance with departmental guidelines:
- Lead and execute data science projects that address complex business problems in theLong Term Care (LTC)insurance and life sciences domains.
- Develop and implementpredictive, prescriptive, and simulation modelsusing advanced statistical, mathematical, and machine learning techniques.
- Applyprobability theory, statistical inference, and optimization methodsto support strategic decision-making and risk assessment.
- Define project scope, methodology, and execution plans-from ideation to deployment and post-implementation review.
- Lead and execute projects both independently and in collaboration with internal teams and external consultants.
- Transform raw, complex datasets into actionable insights that drive business value and operational efficiency.
- Usedata storytellingto communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Partner with actuarial, claims, product, and IT teams to align analytics initiatives with business goals.
- Design and develop interactive dashboards, scorecards, and reports usingPower BI, Tableau, Excel, or other tools.
- Track and visualize key metrics to support business reviews, forecasting, and performance management.
- Stay current with emerging tools, technologies, and methodologies in data science, AI, and insurance analytics.
- Mentor junior data scientists and analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
- Deep understanding ofinsurance operations, especially inLong Term Careor related health/life insurance domains.
- Strong foundation inmathematics, probability theory, statistics, and econometrics.
- Proficiency inExcel, Python, R, and/or MATLABfor statistical computing and modeling.
- Experience withSQLand working with large, complex datasets.
- Working knowledge inmachine learning, time series forecasting, survival analysis, and/orBayesian methods.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity withcloud platforms(e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) andversion control(e.g., Git) is a plus.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree inMathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Actuarial Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- 5-8 yearsof relevant experience in data science, or analytics roles.
- Insurance industry experience highly preferred specifically within the Long-Term Care, Life or Health insurance space.
