DraftKings is looking to add a Software Engineering Manager to our Marketing Platform division to play an important role shaping the next evolution of our marketing technology. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of software engineers and specialists in an Agile environment working on optimizing our marketing efforts. We are looking for a leader who brings strong technical proficiency and leadership experience, who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Marketing at DraftKings operates at a massive scale, including the efforts of the operations team that works behind the scenes. Within the Marketing Platform, you will work to drive efficiencies and scale through automation. This is a high impact role with opportunity to work with a variety of types of stakeholders.
What you'll do as a Software Engineering Manager

  • You will lead and manage a team of engineers, fostering career growth and development
  • Drive the development of software solutions that lead to efficient and scalable marketing operations
  • Establish strong lines of communication with a large and committed set of stakeholders, including product management, marketing operations, design, and engineering
  • Oversee the evolution of the architecture and integration with systems across DraftKings
  • Drive technical discovery through collaboration with your engineers
  • Implement software alongside your team members when necessary
  • Participate in the recruiting and interviewing of candidates


What you'll bring

  • 5 + years' experience working as a developer or lead in a full-stack environment building high scale, business-critical applications
  • Prior experience managing a team is required, preferably at a similar product-focused company
  • Strong experience building distributed systems in a cloud service (AWS, Azure, GCP) environment
  • Experience with modern front-end technologies such as React is preferred
  • Strong communication skills and demonstrable experience developing relationships with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Prior professional experience with digital marketing technologies and platforms is a nice to have
  • Prior experience with integration platforms (Microsoft Power Platform, Dell Boomi, Workato, Mulesoft, Zapier, etc.) or other automation tools is a nice to have

We're a publicly traded (NASDAQ: DKNG) technology company headquartered in Boston. As a regulated gaming company, you may be required to obtain a gaming license issued by the appropriate state agency as a condition of employment. The US base salary range for this full-time position is 156,000.00 USD - 195,000.00 USD, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The compensation information displayed on each job posting reflects the range for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
