The Support Engineering team is an elite unit of engineers responsible for providing top-flight support services to dataxu's customers. We resolve complex problems involving multiple technologies across vendors and we have a good time doing it. We are looking to bring in a Support Engineer III (Senior Support Engineer) who will be a technical backbone on our team! This person will work very closely across dataxu's internal teams and external partners to solve problems and develop creative solutions! 

On the Job

  • Serve as a customer’s primary point of contact as you work with partner organizations to resolve the most challenging problems
  • Troubleshoot errors and alarms spanning systems and vendors
  • Document software defects for Engineering
  • Refine processes and create new ones to improve efficiency
  • Represent your team at cross-functional leadership groups
  • Create and upgrade current support tools
  • Mentor more junior team members
  • Participate in an on-call rotation

About You 

  • BA/BS Computer Science or related field or relevant experience
  • 5-7 years’ experience in a technical support role
  • Strong communication skills, proven ability to adapt your message to the technical level of the audience, and comfort presenting technical materials to customers and partners
  • Analytical and capable of breaking down highly complex challenges
  • A self-starting appetite for learning, innovation, and challenges
  • Knowledge of the advertising ecosystem, related terminology and technology is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of SQL (Postgres DBMS experience is a plus)
  • Strong knowledge of Unix
  • Strong knowledge of web languages (HTML5, Javascript, XML)
  • Familiarity with source control and release tools, such as Git and Jenkins
  • Familiarity with conditional job scheduling
  • Some familiarity with one or more of the following technologies: Ruby, Python, shell scripting, Zabbix, Salesforce, JIRA, JSON, SSL, TCP/IP, DNS, Cookies.
