We are looking for a Sales Operations professional to help drive measurable improvements in sales productivity. This person will work with TripAdvisor’s Insides Sales organization to build and optimize sales-related business processes and optimize our sales systems.
The Sales Operations Manager will bring an analytical problem-solving approach, relentless drive, and a sharp focus on taking steps that impact our business. S/he will work closely with TripAdvisor’s global sales teams (sales management and other stakeholders) in a dynamic environment.
What you'll do:
- Identify, prioritize, and eliminate sales process bottlenecks and inconsistencies
- Own, overhaul, and/or support key sales business processes (sales forecasting, planning, commissions execution, etc.)
- Work with sales management and other stakeholders to identify and quantify the sales target opportunity, and to assign quotas
- Analyze sales pipeline data to monitor pipeline coverage, highlight risks and opportunities, and drive greater predictability and focus in the business
- Work with management to implement, administer, and improve sales incentive compensation programs
- Work with accounting, finance, etc. to ensure corporate sales compliance
- Assist with Salesforce.com administration and project prioritization to realize the best possible return on these investments
- Produce, socialize, and review actionable and accurate sales reporting and BI tools for reps, managers, and sales leaders
Organizational Alignment:
- Reports to the Director, Sales Operations
- Aligned with Global stakeholders across Sales Management, Sales Enablement, Product and Enterprise Engineering, and Business Analytics
- Fosters close, cooperative relationships with peers, sales management, and other sales and support personnel
What we need from you:
- Bachelor’s degree required, plus at least 10-12 years’ professional experience; MBA or similar qualification preferred
- Demonstrated success in a Sales Ops, Business Ops, or similar role, using analysis and process improvement to drive change and fuel revenue growth
- Ability to understand high-level sales strategies, translate them into system and process requirements, and ensure local execution and business impact
- Excellent analytical skills – experience producing, consuming, and acting on analyses (in Excel, SQL, etc.)
- Previous experience with Salesforce.com is a plus
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment that rewards a creative, hands-on approach
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks; strong organizational and project management skills
- Willingness to travel when needed
