Overview:
Join the Salesforce Solution Engineering leadership organization as a Senior Director of Solution Engineering for Revenue Cloud. This role is pivotal in driving the success of our Revenue Cloud business across North America. You will lead a high-performing team of Sales Engineers, partner with Sales Leadership to define go-to-market strategies, and elevate technical storytelling to showcase the full business value of the Revenue Cloud platform.

Your Mission as a Senior Director of Solution Engineering - Revenue Cloud:
In this influential role, you will:
- Lead and Develop: Build, nurture, and grow a high-performing team of Sales Engineers supporting the Revenue Cloud business across North America.
- Partner with Sales Leadership: Define go-to-market strategy, customer segmentation, and coverage models that drive predictable pipeline growth and win rates.
- Elevate Technical Storytelling: Ensure our teams articulate the full business value of the Revenue Cloud platform—CPQ, Billing, Subscription Management, and integrations with CRM, Service, and Commerce.
- Coach to Excellence: Drive readiness, enablement, and professional development through structured programs that advance solution expertise, discovery skills, and executive engagement.
- Collaborate with Product Management and Marketing: Influence roadmap priorities based on field insights and evolving customer needs.
- Scale Best Practices: Create reusable assets, demos, and success stories that accelerate deal velocity across industries and segments.
- Serve as an Executive Sponsor: Represent the technical perspective in C-level customer engagements on strategic opportunities.
- Drive Innovation: Leverage AI, automation, and data storytelling to differentiate Revenue Cloud and expand our impact.

 
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Transformation Efforts: Guide customers through their digital transformation journeys, offering strategic counsel on adoption and achieving long-term success.
- Inspire and Develop a High-Performing Team: Build, nurture, and grow a diverse and multidisciplinary team of Solution Engineers with complementary skills and expertise.
- Collaborate for Success: Partner closely with Sales leadership to craft and deliver compelling value propositions that resonate with customer needs across a range of industries.
- Shape Solutions: Ensure your team designs and demonstrates impactful solutions aligned to customer success, showcasing the power and potential of Salesforce technologies.
- Foster Growth and Innovation: Develop innovative go-to-market strategies, drive organizational productivity, and champion cross-functional collaboration to achieve strategic goals.
- Champion Salesforce Values: Embody Salesforce’s core values in every aspect of your leadership, serving as a role model for your team and the wider organization.

Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in solution engineering, sales engineering, or technical pre-sales for enterprise SaaS platforms.
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing regional or national teams of solution engineers or architects.
- Deep expertise in Revenue Cloud, CPQ, Billing, or adjacent quote-to-cash solutions (Salesforce, Apttus, Zuora, Oracle, SAP, etc.).
- Proven ability to inspire, coach, and scale high-performing technical sales teams.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to translate complex solutions into business outcomes for C-level audiences.
- Experience partnering cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Marketing to shape GTM strategies and deliver measurable growth.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).

- Support the Solution Engineering and Sales teams by providing guidance on sales strategies, approaches to solve specific problems, and represent their team's needs to the executive staff.
- Communicate and strategize with Sales Leadership on how best to address the region to drive customer success and closed deals.
- Allocate resources across your region to maximize impact.
- Act as a sounding board for your team, being someone who SEs feel comfortable bringing challenges to and working through a solution.
- Set a culture within your team that makes your SEs excited to come to work each day because they feel supported, that they are growing professionally, and enjoy each other's success.

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $238,980 to $319,620.
