Senior Director, Creative & Strategy, Ninja
The Senior Director, Creative and Strategy at Ninja is a hybrid leadership role that combines strategic thinking with hands-on creative execution. This role is responsible for driving the development and execution of innovative creative and strategic vision that aligns with the Ninja product innovation vision and business goals. The ideal candidate is both a talented creative leader and strong creative strategist who can inspire teams, develop compelling concepts, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, impactful creative work across all platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creative Strategy Development:
- Lead the development of creative strategies that drive breakthrough product first storytelling, customer engagement, and business growth.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, ci, creative and production teams to align creative strategies with broader business objectives and market trends.
- Utilize market research, consumer insights, and data analytics to inform and refine creative strategies, ensuring they resonate with target audiences.
- Creative Leadership & Execution:
- Oversee the creation and execution of high-impact creative concepts across all brand touchpoints, including digital, social, print, and experiential.
- Lead and inspire a team of designers, copywriters, art directors, and other creatives to produce innovative and compelling work that meets SharkNinja’s high standards.
- Provide hands-on creative direction and feedback, ensuring all creative outputs are on-brand, on-strategy, and visually captivating.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and digital, to ensure creative strategies are effectively integrated into broader campaigns and initiatives.
- Partner with the digital and social media teams to develop content strategies and executions that maximize engagement and reach on various platforms.
- Collaborate with external agencies and vendors as needed to augment internal creative capabilities and deliver exceptional work.
- Brand Development & Consistency:
- Ensure the consistency and integrity of the SharkNinja brand across all creative executions.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of brand guidelines, ensuring all creative work aligns with the brand’s identity, voice, and visual language.
- Lead efforts to continuously evolve and strengthen the SharkNinja brand, keeping it fresh, relevant, and differentiated in the market.
- Innovation & Trend Analysis:
- Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and cultural shifts to inform and inspire creative strategies and executions.
- Explore new creative opportunities, platforms, and mediums to keep the SharkNinja brand at the forefront of innovation.
- Foster a culture of creativity and innovation within the team, encouraging experimentation and out-of-the-box thinking.
- Team Management & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary creative team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to team members, helping them to grow their skills and advance their careers.
- Oversee recruitment and onboarding of new creative talent, ensuring the team has the skills and diversity needed to meet evolving business needs.
- Project Management & Execution:
- Oversee the end-to-end execution of creative projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Implement and maintain efficient project management processes, tools, and workflows to streamline creative production.
- Manage relationships with external partners, ensuring their work meets SharkNinja’s quality and brand standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Design, Fine Arts, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in a creative leadership role, with a strong background in both creative strategy and hands-on creative execution.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful creative strategies that drive brand growth and engagement.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience leading multidisciplinary creative teams.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively across functions and levels.
- Deep understanding of current creative trends, technologies, and best practices in digital, social, and experiential marketing.
- A strong portfolio showcasing innovative and impactful creative work across various platforms.
- Proficiency in industry-standard creative software and tools.
This role sits in our Needham, MA Headquarters 3 days a week.
