GENERAL ROLE DESCRIPTION

Wild Alaskan Company is seeking a Senior Content Operations Manager to manage content operations across multiple photo + video workstreams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in creative process management with a focus on photo/video and an interest in culinary. This role will be responsible for leading processes across multiple workstreams (including pre and post production) and ensuring execution of content to promote Wild Alaskan Company’s mission. 

Our ideal candidate is an all-star contributor and can work scrappily to create and implement creative processes in a fast paced environment. This role is a balance of studio operations and creative operations for photo + video productions. The ideal candidate will act as the operational backbone as well as leading logistics and execution on photo + video projects.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead content operations across photo + video workstreams including photo (NYC studio space), performance video, social media video, brand video and more. 
  • Overseeing equipment inventory and budget and purchase items needed for projects 
  • Manage studio vendors (including onboarding)  and lead search efforts to bring on new vendors. 
  • Manage studio schedule in day-to-day shoots, maintain monthly studio schedule for shoots and events 
  • Attend weekly check-in meetings (Marketing Team Stand) to share schedule, project status updates and any other relevant information pertaining to day to day operations or current projects. Attend Creative Team Stand to share updates on pertinent projects and ensure cross functional project status/progress is clearly communicated out to stakeholders at the top of the week 
  • Support Marketing Ops in setting up workflows within the content ecosystem that keep scaling in mind 
  • Work with Creative Producer to scope production timelines, budgets and needs for video projects
  • Ensure production teams adheres to brand guidelines and company set expectations for workplace behavior
  • Review spend and projected spend monthly to stay within required company budget in partnership with Marketing Ops
  • Serve as go-to liaison to content vendors to the broader WAC organization 
  • Handle all practical aspects of production for projects (ex. permits) in conjunction with Creative Producer
  • Act as a content representative in project kickoffs and in cross functional project work and conversations 
  • Collaborate with creative stakeholders on photo + video briefs to ensure executional feasibility and work to improve briefing process across workstreams 
  • Serve as a liaison between stakeholders and production teams helping to facilitate communication and ensuring alignment prior to shoots 
  • Support emerging video workstreams and identify opportunities to scale
  • Lead physical production logistic + details for photo + video for projects 
  • Ensure projects adhere to brand guidelines onset including wardrobe, props, culinary expectations and more
  • Sync with procurement + innovation to ensure food + product is aligned with sku expectations and accurately displayed
  • Source additional talent and locations as needed for productions in collaboration with Sr. Creative Producer
  • Support/assist additional project work based companies priorities and needs
  • Facilitate post-production workstreams for different teams (social, creative, etc) and serve as the liaison between editors and Sr. Creative Producer within the process 
  • Oversee post-production asset delivery handoff for photo + video to project leads
  • Source editing support for projects and onboard editors to brand guidelines
  • Manage asset systems to organize photo + video including creating tagging systems in conjunction with Marketing Ops 
  • Lead conversations on platforms and software to use in aiding the post production workstream including Frame, Bynder and more

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: 

  • 5+ years leading creative and/or content operations including process creation + management
  • 2-3 years managing complex photo + video production teams 
  • Experience in project management to adapt workstreams to emerging needs
  • Strong knowledge of physical production processes, laws and regulations
  • Experience sourcing gear, talent, locations for production needs
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once and prioritize company needs
  • Experience working with budgets of all sizes and thinning analytically to reduce spend 
  • Self-starter, ability to work independently in a remote, team environment 
  • Passion for Wild Alaskan’s mission

The starting salary range for this position is $90,000 - $115,000, commensurate with skills and experience. Wild Alaskan’s benefits package includes health, vision, and dental insurance, 401k, PTO, safe/sick time, vacation, parental leave and more, as well as a delicious box of free fish every month.
