The Senior Analyst, Client KPI Performance Management​ will be responsible for the delivery of information, forecasts, analytics, and insights related to Client-reported Net Patient Revenue (NPR), NPR Lift initiatives, and corresponding cash collections and Ensemble full outsource collections revenue. A key responsibility in this role is client delivery support, such as: Client NPR performance monitoring, forecasting, and NPR Lift measure reporting and validation. Position will support multiple Finance Leaders responsible for related activities.  

Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for revenue forecasting and analytics including the following but not limited to: 

  • Client-reported Net Patient Revenue (NPR) 
  • NPR Lift (financial impact of revenue cycle management operational improvements) 
  • Cash Collection Forecasts (derived from Client-reported Net Patient Revenue) 
  • Ensembled Full Outsource Collections Revenue forecasts (derived from forecasted cash  

Client-reported Net Patient Revenue Forecasting and Analytics 

  • Analyze trends in patient volumes, patient statusing, service line utilization, acuity, and payor mix 
  • Perform “rate vs. volume” analysis to gain insights into changes in reported revenues 
  • Present observations in a succinct, professional manner to internal and external stakeholders 
  • Evaluate NPSR and Net AR results monthly and trending over time, identifying variances 
  • Understand reserve methodology for clients and challenges they may present 
  • Provide assistance/coverage for monthly client close calls 

NPR Lift Analytics 

  • Support fulfillment of analytics/data requests required for decision making needs and performance risk mitigation 
  • Assists in maintaining NPR lift reporting tools to support business decision-making, forecasting, and performance improvement 
  • Assist in designing, developing, and implementing enhanced methods for capturing NPR Lift 
  • Contribute to ensuring all changes to reporting, processes, and procedures are reflected, appropriately documented, and consistency maintained 

Cash Collections Forecasting and Analytics 

  • Analyze and understand operational metrics affecting monthly cash collections 
  • Collaborate with operational teams to understand client projected cash trends trajectory 
  • Forecast cash collections and communicate to all stakeholders 

Ensemble Full Outsource Collections Revenue Forecasting and Analytics 

  • Collaborate with accounting to understand any one-time or ongoing client adjustments 
  • Analyze monthly revenue results and proactively communicate variances to expectations 

Project Management Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional projects related to revenue cycle optimization, NPR Lift initiatives, and forecasting improvements.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and deliverables; monitor progress and ensure completion within scope and deadlines.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, track action items, and manage risks to project success.
  • Implement process improvement methodologies (LEAN Six Sigma preferred) to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Serve as a liaison between Finance Leaders, operational teams, and IT for system enhancements and reporting.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all assigned activities are completed on-time, within scope, and all observations along with any barriers are communicated to the appropriate parties  
  • Comfortable working at a high level of performance under tight deadlines  
  • Performs high quality work, responsible for verification of the accuracy of the information reported  
  • Evaluation of current processes and tools and propose changes to drive efficiencies within the organization.  
  • Maintains HIPAA and patient confidentiality training and handles confidential matters in accord 
  • Anticipates leadership needs by gathering records, reports, data, and correspondence for accurate reporting and Provides ad hoc reporting for when requested  
  • Establish and maintain interdepartmental relationships will all stakeholders  

Experience We Love:

  • 1 to 3 years of similar job experience 
  • 10 or more years of Leadership experience 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required to communicate with internal/external customers.  
  • Must possess excellent time management and organizational skills. Demonstrated critical thinking, creativity, problem solving and decision-making skills. 
  • Must be analytical, perform computations accurately and quickly, identify and compute ratios and percentages.  
  • Strong data skills, including relational database management, proficiency MS Excel
  • Financial or Accounting experience in healthcare
  • Knowledge of Revenue Cycle structure. MS PowerPoint, MS Access, Business Objects, and SQL programming.  

Education:

  • Bachelors Degree, Finance / Accounting preferred or Equivalent Experience 

Required Certifications: 

  • HFMA Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) within 9 months of hire
