Department Overview:

Wellframe is seeking an accounting professional for a central role in its growing accounting/finance department. The Senior Accountant will report to the Director of Accounting & Finance. Wellframe wants to bring the currently outsourced accounting function in-house and is looking for a highly motivated individual to help set-up and structure the new accounting system (likely Quickbooks), develop necessary policies and procedures, and be the primary “doer” on day-to-day accounting and finance operations. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the company’s mission, have the desire to work in a start-up environment, and be hard-working and driven to support this growing mobile health technology company. 

Responsibilities

  • Perform the month-end close process
  • Perform general ledger account analysis and reconciliations
  • Prepare all transaction entries related to cash, corporate credit cards, vendor invoices, and customer billing and collections
  • Prepare monthly financial statements
  • Assist with annual audit and tax engagements
  • Assist with benefit administration and employee onboarding
  • Other ad-hoc projects as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3+ years of public / private accounting experience
  • Understanding of GAAP accounting (CPA a plus)
  • Experience in QuickBooks, especially with set-up and implementation, is a huge plus
  • Solid organization skills, attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines in a timely and professional manner
  • Quick learner, self-motivated, team player
  • Understanding of revenue recognition for a SAAS company is a plus
