We are seeking a Salesforce Technical Architect to support a large-scale federal cloud modernization program operating across a complex, multi-organization Salesforce ecosystem. This role serves as a key technical authority responsible for enterprise architecture, solution design, integration strategy, and governance across a portfolio of mission-critical Salesforce applications.
The environment includes 50+ Salesforce applications across 10 organizations, supporting enterprise operations, modernization initiatives, and production systems at scale. The ideal candidate brings deep Salesforce architecture expertise, strong integration and DevSecOps experience, and proven leadership in designing and delivering secure, scalable enterprise solutions.

Responsibilities
- Define and lead enterprise Salesforce architecture strategy across multiple orgs and applications
- Design scalable, secure, and high-performance Salesforce solutions supporting enterprise operations
- Architect and support complex integration patterns between Salesforce and external systems
- Lead data modeling, security architecture, and platform governance across environments
- Guide technical teams in solution design, development standards, and architecture best practices
- Support CI/CD, release management, and DevSecOps processes across Salesforce delivery pipelines
- Oversee architecture alignment across development, integration, and production environments
- Provide technical leadership for modernization initiatives, including legacy-to-cloud migrations
- Collaborate with stakeholders and senior leadership to define technical direction and solution roadmaps
- Ensure platform stability, scalability, and compliance within a governed enterprise environment
- Support incident resolution and production architecture troubleshooting as needed
- Evaluate and recommend new Salesforce capabilities, tools, and architectural improvements
- 10+ years of solution or technical architecture experience
- 7+ years of Salesforce architecture experience
- Experience supporting a government client or working in a highly regulated environment
- Multi-org Salesforce environment experience (enterprise-scale implementations)
- Strong experience with Salesforce security model, including data access and permissions
- Experience designing enterprise integration architectures and API-based solutions
- Hands-on knowledge of Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Salesforce platform development
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, DevSecOps practices, and release management
- Experience supporting enterprise production environments and large-scale SaaS platforms
- Strong communication skills with experience engaging senior stakeholders and leadership
- Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) preferred
- Salesforce Application Architect certification
- Salesforce System Architect certification
- Platform Developer II certification
- Integration Architect certification
- MuleSoft certifications (nice to have)
- Federal civilian or DHS experience strongly preferred
- Strong enterprise architecture and systems thinking ability
- Proven experience leading complex Salesforce ecosystems and multi-org environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to balance governance, delivery speed, and platform stability
- Strong leadership in guiding technical teams and shaping architecture standards
- Experience in large-scale cloud modernization and SaaS transformation programs
