You are motivated to have a significant impact on the company by both charting our fundraising strategy as well as executing on it. What We’re Looking For
Hometap is seeking a VP of Investor Relations to lead our fundraising strategy and maintain relationships with investors over time. This includes working directly with the CEO and finance team to determine the terms of our first fund, the outreach process to family offices and other prospective investors, and the materials to support the fundraise. It also includes updating Hometap’s investors of our investment performance on a periodic basis, as well as planning for subsequent funds as our assets under management grow and we launch new products.
What You Bring
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline; MBA preferred
- 10+ years of experience with a strong record of building positive long-term relationships with LPs, with an emphasis on family office investors, ideally with real estate exposure
- Ability to hold 1x1 meetings with investors/analysts and represents Hometap at meetings/conferences
- Thorough knowledge and expertise in capital markets and performance metrics for real estate funds
- Very familiar with valuation and financial modeling techniques used by investors and analysts
- A deep understanding of trends in capital markets, macroeconomics, analogous investment opportunities, and competitors
- Someone who is entrepreneurial in orientation, as well as having a client-service mentality; must be able to excel under pressure, as well as meet short deadlines
- Possesses excellent written communication skills, with the ability to craft powerful and engaging messages that inspire others
