BHE has been a leader in providing custom research services and novel analytics platforms to life science companies for the past 20 years. BHE is expanding its offerings and is hiring a Vice President of Business Development for custom services and products, including the widely-used Instant Health Data (IHD) platform.
The Vice President of Business Development reports to BHE’s Chief Executive Officer and builds and leads a team of experienced business development professionals. This is a key position to drive top-line growth for BHE, a dynamic healthcare analytics company with an industry-leading platform.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build and lead the Business Development team to meet company growth goals
- Participate in creating and implementing an effective, proactive growth strategy and provide operational leadership for its execution
- Develop and maintain an active new business pipeline to meet and exceed all revenue targets
- Review and manage pipeline information and client relationships with competitors to identify potential new business leads, growth opportunities or future competitive trends
- Develop strategic approaches, proposals, budgets/pricing, and presentations for use in current and prospective client interactions
- Identify, evaluate and develop partnership opportunities
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Documented/proven track record of successfully leading sales/business development efforts selling technology products B2B in the life sciences/healthcare sector
- Expertise in selling products and services to large enterprises (e.g., Fortune 500)
- Exceptional team leadership skills, including development and management of high performing business development/sales teams
- Exceptional oral presentation and written communication skills
- Successful collaborations and/or partnerships including experience in negotiating and closing business deals
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- BS/BA in business, technology, or related fields
- 10+ years of related business development experience, including at least 3 years as a VP managing a team
- Willingness to travel 25% time
