Today, Flywire has applied our high tech payments platform combined with our owned global payments network to expand and digitize the payment experience for over 3,000 education, healthcare, travel & B2B clients world-wide, processing more than $16B and covering more than 240 countries and territories globally. With over 500 FlyMates distributed across 12 offices world-wide and representing more than 32 nationalities, we’re looking for FlyMates to join the next stage of our journey as we continue to grow.
In this role, you will be the first Solutions Engineer within our newly launched B2B vertical! In this remote role, you will identify new features, products and business opportunities while acting as a critical driver of sales initiatives. Our team is composed of creative problem solvers and strategic software engineers who collaborate with clients to understand their challenges and architect solutions. Our Solutions Engineers are at the cross function of business and engineering and are passionate about working closely with our external clients and partners. You will work to become trusted advisors for our clients enabling you to build confidence in Flywire’s technology infrastructure
As a Solutions Engineer, you will work closely with clients to provide creative solutions and develop successful implementations. Ultimately, you are passionate about technology and have the ability to explain and demonstrate complex technical concepts in easy-to-understand terms. You are naturally curious and an avid builder who is not afraid to get your hands dirty. Our Solutions Engineers come from a wide range of backgrounds: financial consulting, engineering, software development, product management, customer support & project delivery. Build new products and improve existing ones in collaboration with our product and engineering teams
Lead technical discussions and product demos to all levels ranging from IT Admin to CEO
Handle the planning, implementation and integration of Flywire’s product into diverse IT environments and drive client post-sales satisfaction
Become a trusted client partner and maintain relationships with Flywire’s clients by providing the highest solutions-oriented service and commitment from a technical and functional perspective
Serve as a product and industry expert by rapidly learning about Flywire platform and how it can extend into client workflows
Be the voice of the customer - interface directly with our product team based on customer feature requests
Influence the roadmap and product development of our products to meet your client’s business needs
Here’s What We’re Looking For:
B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent degree or experience
5+ years of relevant sales, consulting, technical, or customer facing experience, ideally within a SaaS business. (note: doesn't have to be in tech)
A history of communicating technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
Experience integrating with ERP systems, specifically for financial solutions (experience with Netsuite, SAP, Oracle or Workday are highly desirable)
Experience with contributing to the development community (blogs, Stack Overflow, Quora, Slack, etc.)
Experience working in highly collaborative environments
Ability to manage a project, work to deadlines and prioritize between competing demands
Server-side development - Java, C#, PHP, Python, Ruby
Cloud technologies - AWS, Azure, GCP

Our Hiring Process:
We are excited to get to know you! Throughout our process you can expect 4-5 rounds of interviews with different FlyMates including the Hiring Manager, Peers on the team, the VP of the department, and a homework assignment (it is not that bad!). Your TA Partner will walk you through the steps and be your “go-to” person for any questions.
