In the ever changing, multi-billion dollar cybersecurity industry, we need the right people on our team to translate prospects’ security challenges into perfect software solutions in the pursuit of keeping the world safe from cyberattacks. VMware is hiring a Senior Director of Security Sales to lead our VMware Carbon Black go to market team focused on the global account segment. This can be based anywhere in the US and is a virtual role managing a team of Global Sales Specialists.

What you’ll do

  • Leadership: Lead a global team of security sales specialists to driving adoption of VMware Carbon Black security offerings across a strategic global customer account base.
  • Recruit, Hire, Retain & Coach a team of industry leading security sales specialists
  • Strategize: Develop strategic go to market plans in collaboration with VMware core sales teams to drive adoption of VMware Carbon Black Security product lines within the global accounts sector
  • Hit Targets: Consistently over deliver on revenue growth expectations for security line of business product lines within global sector.
  • Communicate business plans, forecasts, strategies within security business unit and across core VMware sales teams


What you’ll bring

  • 10+ years of extensive sales leadership experience across a large enterprise and global accounts base
  • Demonstrated history of exceeding booking and revenue targets
  • Proven experience developing and communicating with senior executives
  • BA/BS or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Domain expertise and experience in sales of complex enterprise software such as information security
  • Leverage your Team: While you’ll own your business goals, you are part of a cohesive VMware Sales team comprised of reps who are empowered to think big while retaining the highest level of integrity, share best practices, and are true partners focused on achieving one common goal.
