CloudHealth Technologies (CHT) is looking for a Senior Director of Sales Engineering to help take our sales engineering process and organization to the next level of performance and support continued efforts within CHT to improve overall sales productivity as we continue to grow our business. This is a new position and will be based in Boston, MA.

About You:

You are an accomplished sales engineering leader with experience leading teams and driving technical selling best practices in a B2B software environment (ideally SaaS). You enjoy working hands-on with prospects, but also building and scaling process and teams. You are excited about helping companies transform themselves using the public cloud and the service offerings in the cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.) You hold yourself accountable for delivering results for your teams, but also are comfortable working as part of a larger global organization. You want to be a part of a high performance sales organization and hate losing to the competition. You are comfortable working in a fast paced, growing, entrepreneurial environment.

You Will:

  • Build and lead a world class team of Sales Engineers and Solution Architects to drive sales and customer success.
  • Provide sales support through team assignments, load balancing, continuity, strategic planning, customer meetings, relationship building, and problem resolution.
  • Help define and manage the prospect experience with emphasis on technical selling - demos, trials, RFPs, etc. - and communicating the business value of the CH platform.
  • Implement strategies to improve trial win rates, beat the competition, and develop stronger technical buyer relationships.
  • Partner with Sales and Customer Success leadership to ensure the right priority and technical resources are being applied and correctly utilized during pre-sales activities. Partner with Product Marketing on effective strategies to manage and deliver demonstrations, maintain demo environments, and respond to RFPs.
  • Work with Product Management to influence product roadmaps by collecting feedback from prospects during the sales process.
  • Define and implement necessary systems and tools to provide key business information and metrics to highlight the team’s performance and effectiveness.
  • Prepare and present key business metrics to sales leadership. the executive team, and the company.

You Have:

  • 8+ years sales engineering experience both as an individual contributor and a leader.
  • Director-level Sales Engineering experience in a high growth sales organization selling B2B software (ideally SaaS) into both enterprise and commercial accounts globally.
  • Experience with modern technical selling best practices and selling in a competitive environment, including implementing new or improved trial, demo, and RFP process.
  • Familiarity with established selling methodologies and methods (e.g. SPIN, Challenger, MEDDPICC, Force Management, etc.) and working within a structured sales processDemonstrated ability to recruit/build/retain teams and implement new business process.
  • Proven track record of success in a fast growing and scaling business.
  • Comfort level working in a metric-driven environment, including reporting on and improving business performance against a set of monthly KPIs and metrics.
  • Strong client relationship skills and ability to interact at all levels of the organization. Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.A Bachelor’s Degree
