Cogito is searching for a Senior Business Development Representative to join our marketing team! Your role will be to seek new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential customers. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience developing leads and meeting sales quotas. The ideal candidate has outstanding communication skills, a cheerful demeanor and great organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities
  • Conduct high level conversations about Cogito’s platform with senior executives at Fortune 500 companies
  • Present Cogito’s solution to potential clients via remote meetings
  • Serve as Cogito Ambassador at Industry conferences after thoughtful preparation and outreach to target attendees
  • Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services
  • Customize product solutions to increase customer satisfaction
  • Manage outbound marketing campaigns - mailings, emailings, phone - to identified targets
  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and Account Executives
  • Generate, develop, qualify and set new business opportunities for Enterprise and Strategic Accounts teams
  • Build rapport with prospects through a consultative solution based sales approach
  • Stay up to date with market developments, industry trends, value propositions, and pricing
  • Report on weekly/monthly/quarterly results to Director of Business Development

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales Account Executive, Account Manager or similar role within a software company
  • Vast knowledge of prospecting leads and triangulating account plans
  • Track record of achieving sales quotas
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced start-up culture
  • Some travel is required

Skills:

  • Experience with Salesforce CRM software and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
  • Familiarity with Google Drive, MS Excel
  • Experience communicating confidently with Enterprise senior executives
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and adapt your style to rapid organizational and platform change
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Business development experience within a software company
