Tamr is expanding our Sales and Go-To-Market alliance efforts with SAP to help Tamr scale through technical and sales alignment with SAP. We need an experienced Business Development Director to manage Tamr's sales and technology partnership with SAP and possibly a strategic systems integrator. You will help expand Tamr's industry footprint by managing and expanding this key partnership for Tamr. As the leader of the SAP-Tamr partnership, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the go to market, marketing, and sales relationships between Tamr and SAP. You will also be the company’s leading authority and responsible manager for all things SAP. This is a high visibility role whereby you will report out quarterly to the Tamr leadership team in live session QBRs.


Tamr has industry leading joint reference customers with SAP and is available via the SAP Store. The opportunity to leverage the partnership momentum and take this strategic relationship to the next level and beyond is truly exceptional. 


Requirements:

  • Manage and grow Tamr's relationship with SAP and potentially an assigned SI partner (e.g. Accenture, Deloitte, etc…) on a global basis
  • Provide strategic ownership of the Tamr and SAP alliance relationship, working with the SAP partner team assigned to Tamr
  • Drive topline revenue growth by identifying joint selling opportunities and building sales relationships across SAP, assigned systems integrator partner
  • Develop business plans collaboratively with Tamr field sales managers and work with cross-functional teams internally (Sales, Legal, Finance, Marketing, Product, etc.) to achieve those objectives
  • Execute on 12-18 month strategic partnership plans which will accelerate Tamr’s growth and define the company’s future
  • Identify, analyze and report on partner & Tamr programs and initiatives through KPIs
  • Act as a point of escalation on complex issues and provide appropriate support to internal team members
  • Communicate partner programs and processes to internal departments
  • Funding liaison for Marketing and Engineering activities
  • Manage certification and partner requirements
  • Lead internal & external QBR/BPs

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in enterprise data, data platforms or analytics ecosystems
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant business development and/or sales alliance experience
  • Current knowledge of and relationships with SAP’s large enterprise sales organization
  • Proven success in managing large enterprise software partnerships
  • Strong business, technical, and financial acumen
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively construct and close deals as an individual as well as part of a team
  • Strong skills in multitasking, communications, negotiation, organization, and teamwork
  • Proven self-starter with a high degree of initiative
  • Demonstrated team player
  • Strong strategic selling/business development skills

This position is available in North America: Preferably Boston or NorthEast/Mid-Atlantic. Tamr does sponsor employees requiring a visa.
