We are looking for a Sales Trainer who can help bring Smartbear’s sales training program to the next level. Reporting to the Director of Sales Development, this person will ensure that all SmartBear sales people are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and resources they need to be the best in the business.

In this role, you will help create and coordinate the planning, structure, and development of the sales training curriculum. While working with our sales teams in Boston, Galway, and Melbourne, you will help execute our sales strategy to ensure we have the best salespeople in the league.

What you’ll do

  • Create and facilitate onboarding training program for all sales new hires
  • Evolve and optimize the new hire enablement program to ensure consistency across all pillars
  • Coordinate with sales managers to understand organizational goals
  • Design and deliver ongoing sales trainings
  • Leverage internal learning management system to create employee quizzes and certifications
  • Manage and update all sales training content on an ongoing basis
  • Work with Product Marketing to scope and provision sales collateral
  • Partner with Sales Operations to ensure proper adoption and usage of our sales tools

What we are looking for

  • 1+ years experience designing and delivering sales talent and development programs
  • 2+ years experience in a quota-carrying role at a high-velocity tech company
  • Demonstrable competency in building and presenting training content 
  • Resourceful, self-motivated, and demonstrably able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong executive presence and engaging personality
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Team-oriented and willing to help others to get the job done
  • Intimately familiar with sales techniques, objection handling, and know how to navigate a sales conversation to a positive end

What’s the vibe like in the office?

I think the office space is great for people of all ages and tenures. It's a warm environment for everyone, but as a recent college graduate, it's nice being able to see others who are in my age bracket. The office is very open to conversation and is always willing to extend a helping hand. All in all, the vibes here are good!
