Sales Operations Manager

The Sales Operations Manager will work closely with the teams to ensure this inbound process operates smoothly and will be responsible for executing the day-to-day configuration, maintenance, and improvement of our sales and marketing tech stack. This position will focus on optimizing sales efficiency by refining processes by making systematic enhancements. This includes resolving operational inconsistencies and bottlenecks that are slowing down the sales team. Finding solutions to these issues can be challenging and often require creative problem solving and careful consideration before diving in. You’ll be responsible for digging into the data to tell the story behind the numbers and find out what’s really going on.

What you'll be doing on our team
- Serve as primary system administrator for our CRM (Salesforce.com, including CPQ) environment as well as other systems in the sales and marketing tech stack
- Handle all standard administrative functions including user account maintenance, data augmentation, distribution capabilities, reports and dashboards, formula fields, workflows, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity
- Complete regular internal system audits and maintain system hygiene to ensure cleanliness and completeness of data
- Drive process improvement initiatives that impact the efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability of the team
- Maintains existing sales reports and designs new reports and dashboards as needed
- Manage Salesforce.com data feeds and other third party integrations
- Establish suitable processes to ensure sales goals are met in a timely fashion and support administrative and change management activities
- Assist in documentation and training of new users on company CRM operating procedures and best practices
- Effectively act as the liaison between our users and vendors for upgrades and troubleshooting. Develop and maintain sales analyses by identifying trends and compiling other metrics.
- Participate in the evaluation, selection and implementation of third-party solutions for appropriate sales operations functions as needed
- Foresee the impact of new requirements on Salesforce.com and all upstream and downstream applications, systems, and processes
- Evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
- Work with Finance on data analysis, such as customer life cycles, conversion time and rates, close/win rates, etc.
About you and what skills you’ll need
- 5+ years of experience as Salesforce.com or other CRM administrator or similar role, SaaS experience preferred
- Strong understanding of Salesforce.com or other CRM best practices and functionality. Saleforce.com “New Admin” (ADM 201/ADX 201) certification a plus, but not required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel) and any experience analyzing complex data sets or using business intelligence tools is a plus
- Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
- Strong data management abilities with a demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex requirements
- Must demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, prioritize simultaneous requests, and successfully drive projects to completion
- Proven ability to design and implement new processes and facilitate user adoption
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task while paying close attention to detail
