The right candidate is a self-motivated leader with successful sales management experience in the State and Local Government space. 

This is an exciting time to join Rave as we have experienced 10 years of double-digit growth and have recently received a significant investment by TCV (a leading private equity firm). Our award winning products are widely recognized as helping to foster quick, relevant, and actionable communication during times of high stress and crisis. 

What you'll do:

  • Responsible for a team of 6-10 quota carrying sales representatives focused on State and Local and K12 Education segments.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and support to ensure team quota attainment.
  • Work strategically with the management team to deliver forecasts, identify trends, and provide recommended solutions.
  • Ensure you and your team are up-to-date on current solutions, competition, and industry trends.
  • Develop a strong understanding of target buying personas, solution offerings, and the competitive landscape.
  • Leverage solution selling across both new and existing customers.
  • Build and maintain healthy pipeline.
  • Implementing process efficiency changes to drive maximum results.
  • Run weekly 1-on-1s with each direct report to help them overcome roadblocks and chart their long-term career growth.
  • Monitor team KPIs and proactively identify the actions that your team members can take to improve each month 
  • Demonstrate a “never quit” attitude and instill tenacity and resilience in your team

Who you are:

  • First things first, must have experience selling into State and Local Executive Offices, K-12 or Public Safety
  • Someone who is energized by selling into the State and Local market and understands the procurement process 
  • 10+ years of sales experience, including a minimum of 5 years managing sales representatives
  • Experienced at managing remote employees
  • Proven track record meeting and exceeding quota targets 
  • A history of developing and executing on training and onboarding programs
  • An innovator who has utilized data and market knowledge to implement new sales strategies 
  • A true team player with strong interpersonal and teamwork skills 
  • A collaborator able to work across all portions of the organization 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Formal sales training (Sandler, Miller Heiman, SPIN selling, etc.) 
  • Proficiency with Salesforce.com, Microsoft Office 
  • Public speaking/presentation experience 
  • About 20% domestic travel
