Title: Sales Engineer

Reports to: Director of North American Sales

Office: Needham, MA

 

The Sales Engineer at FareHarbor will assist the Americas Sales Team in selling features strategically, ramp Account Executives faster, and drive revenue growth for FareHarbor. Advanced problem solvers, Sales Engineers are experts at working within the FareHarbor dashboard, while simultaneously able to effectively communicate complex setups to Account Executives with the goal to close more deals. You will work closely with Account Executives to help build knowledge, onboard new accounts, and help develop our growing team. This position requires constant collaboration with Sales Leadership and Training leads across all offices.

 

Main Objectives:

  • Own the technical training side of FareHarbor’s Sales Team

  • Troubleshoot builds for the different industries that use FareHarbor

  • Share in-depth, technical knowledge of the software with Account Executives

  • Work with Account Executives on technical demonstrations of FareHarbor

 

The ideal candidate is:

  • An excellent problem solver with a strong attention to detail and deadlines

  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment

  • A task master comfortable juggling several projects simultaneously

  • Already familiar with the intricacies of the FareHarbor dashboard

  • Able to communicate complex situations succinctly

 

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver instructor led classroom learning to Account Executives at every level

  • Create role specific training materials ranging from new hires to tenured sales staff - Collaborate with managers to develop and implement curricula for specific audiences

  • Work closely with sales leadership and Sales Enablement & Training Lead

  • Interpret needs of different companies and customize their FareHarbor setup to best fit those needs

  • Develop an advanced understanding of new product updates and utilize them to aid the sales team during cold calls and demonstrations

  • Answer technical questions from Account Executives

  • Present and build dashboard setups on demonstrations with Account Executives

  • Provide valuable feedback to both the development and sales team

  • Help develop, improve, and implement standard operating procedures

 

Requirements:

  • 1+ years sales and/or relevant technical experience at  high velocity software company.

  • High attention to detail and metrics.  

  • Proven track record executing cross-functional projects.

  • Knowledge of SaaS software & CRM experience.

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

  • Undergraduate College Degree (4 years)

  • Proven ability to stay organized and prioritize workload

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Well-spoken and well written

  • Comfortable suggesting change

  • Able to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
