As a Sales Engineer working at Tamr, you will be responsible for owning all technical aspects of the sales cycle. You will:

  • Work with customers to understand their business challenges and how Tamr can support their needs
  • Persuade customers on the value of Tamr through tailored product demonstrations - target audiences include end users, IT staff, executive sponsors, industry analysts
  • Define and scope proof of concept engagements to support customer buying requirements
  • Lead customer-facing proof of concept engagements both remotely and onsite, delivering on the technical components of the agreed SOW and presenting success
  • Provide feedback to Product Management on customer needs and market direction
  • Provide technical content required for RFP submission
  • Assist in handoff of successful client engagements to post-sales delivery resources

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years in a pre-sales / sales engineering role
  • Exceptional customer-facing and presentation skills
  • Strong knowledge of a related software market: Data Integration, Data Quality, MDM, PIM, CRM, ERP, ETL, Data Warehouse, Data Management, and Business Intelligence
  • Strong data analysis and data management acumen
  • Advanced technical foundation

Other Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with scripting languages (python, R, SQL, shell, etc)
  • Strong Linux / UNIX skill set
  • Experience coding against APIs
  • Machine learning knowledge/experience
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWSDashboard, and applications such as Qlikview and Tableau
  • Github

This position is available in Cambridge MA. Some travel will be required. Tamr does sponsor employees requiring a visa.
