Sales Director

As Sales Director, you will lead multiple teams accountable for the renewal portfolio. Within Renewals, the primary goal is to optimize small business financing conversion rates, driving company profit. Additionally, you’ll focus on the relentless improvement of the sales process, developing and growing the team, and collaborating across the organization to provide a best-in-class experience to our small business customers, partners, and teammates.
In this role you will:
- Lead an existing, high performing team to maximize gross profit, funding volume, and conversion rates
- Scale and grow the Renewals Team to hit long term sales and profitability goals
- Maintain and enhance the current culture of collaboration, passion, and transparency
- Share a “never quit” attitude and motivate the team to overachieve against targets when facing adversity
- Build strong cross-functional relationships, understand the business, and contribute to company strategy
- Develop sales reps through coaching, training, and mentoring. Prepare and encourage reps to grow their career in accordance with their interests and goals while managing expectations
- Leverage data to improve core KPIs important to your team and to business results
- Guide the team in solving partner/customer related issues. Take the lead when issues are escalated (including, but not limited to, deal-specific complaints, commissions, volume bonuses, etc.)
- Collaborate with Marketing to develop content as it relates to partner and small business communication
- Identify ways to improve partner and customer experience (technology, communications, process, etc.)
- Build relationships with core partners main decision-makers and be relied upon to be an influencer
- Infrequent travel to visit existing partners, when needed, up to 15%

- Ability to hire and develop A-Players: Can source, select and sell A-players to join the company. Managers that coach people in their current roles to improve performance and prepares them for future roles
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 10+ years of sales experience with a track record of consistently hitting goals
- At least 5 years of experience managing high performing sales teams, with a preference for leading other people-managers
- Experience mentoring and/or leading others effectively
- Strong analytical skills to identify trends or patterns
- Strong communication skills in written, verbal and other forms
