The Sales Account Manager works with existing Akeneo customers to help them grow through the purchase of additional Akeneo products and solutions. You will be responsible for learning and understanding how Akeneo products are used and valued by our customers and making compelling recommendations for expanded investments. Your portfolio will be diverse and include some of the most recognizable brands, including Fossil, John Deere, Canon, BRP, Mars Foods and more. The Sales Account Manager must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle. Must have a strong teamwork mentality, working directly with the VP of Sales, the Customer Success Team, and Sales Account Executives at Akeneo.
Responsibilities:
- Proactive “Farmer” sales approach, focusing on the expansion and renewal of existing accounts for the Sales Organization.
- Understand your customers’ business and objectives through partnership with the Customer Success organization and through on-site and remote client interactions
- Manage the end to end sales process through engagement of appropriate resources such as Sales Engineers, Customer Success, Professional Services, Executives, Partners etc.
- Meet and exceed quarterly and annual revenue/quota targets for existing accounts
- Develop a comprehensive account management strategy and your Go-To-Market plan that ensures consistent achievement of objectives over the short- and long-term
- Build lasting, meaningful relationships with members of management, the sales team, customers, partners and the Akeneo community necessary to manage accounts and close deals
- Communicate accurate and realistic forecast information to the management team
- Communicate customer reactions and needs back to product team in a productive manner
- Continuously improve the account management playbook for future reps
- Take an active role in solving problems, working collaboratively with members of other departments.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of customer facing, quota carrying sales, account, or relationship management roles
- Ability to understand complex requirements and craft custom solutions
- Experience with MEDDIC preferred
- Experienced in managing complex SaaS sales practices and solution-based selling to CXO, senior management and director-level individuals
- Open mindset, humble, and collaborative
- Strong analytical and business deal-making capability, ability to ferret out opportunities, create positive relationships, find the hidden issues during due diligence, and bring the transaction to closure successfully
- Proven ability to hit ARR targets
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Extensive negotiation and contract development experience
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment
