Position Summary

The ideal candidate in the Business Development Representative for Pharma Commercial and R&D will have a goal selling our Causal Machine Learning software, REFS software platform and services to small to medium sized pharmaceutical companies in the US. The person in this role must be a highly energetic person who is able to work effectively within the GNS sales organization and at all levels of client organizations, and thrive within a fast-paced and exciting team environment. You will be selling across pharmaceutical and biotech companies’ discovery, development and commercial departments including HEOR, market access, and managed markets. 

Responsibilities

  • Generate and qualify leads, and prospects for GNS products and services.
  • Build relationships with these prospects to effectively convey our value proposition.
  • Continually feedback market needs to the GNS Development team.
  • Accurately forecast sales plans (SalesForce) and consistently exceed quota.
  • Own each opportunity and manage the resources needed to close these deals.
  • Manage customer deployment engagement and post sales activities.
  • Proactively monitor client relationships to ensure continued high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Responsible for developing a sales plan for your territory.
  • Travel regularly to meet key client stakeholders to maintain and expand existing services.
  • Serve as the company’s representative at industry conferences and marketing and networking events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 2+ years of experience in software sales to the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
  • Proven successful track record
  • High quality references from senior managers and satisfied clients
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
  • Experience selling large-scale, analytics solutions into pharmaceutical and biotech companies in the U.S, preferred
  • Possess a mix of analytical and creative skills to find innovative solutions for clients while providing best in class service
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with various business units across the Company to ensure successful onboarding of clients
  • Ability to travel as needed for sales activities
