Corvus created the Reinsurance department to address a market opportunity to distribute our products through other carriers, MGAs, captive insurers, and other risk taking entities. Corvus underwrites on behalf of Hudson Insurance Group (AM Best Rated A, Financial Size Category XV). Corvus’ suite of products and services give it a unique competitive advantage in this large segment of the market. 

This is a newly-created position that will report directly to our Vice President of Reinsurance.  The Reinsurance Account Manager will play a key role in managing the client and driving the sales process from the time a potential client is engaged through to post-implementation servicing.  

Responsibilities

  • Drive forward each Reinsurance client’s implementation project. This includes strong coordination with legal, underwriting, product, marketing and the client to ensure that client, Hudson, policyholder and Corvus needs are met and each policyholder and agent have a consistent user experience
  • Work with clients and internal teams to ensure client has necessary tools and training to maximize sales results
  • Assist with presentations to prospects and follow up with new accounts and brokers to deliver Corvus’s value proposition most effectively while providing a top notch customer experience
  • Plan, prioritize and oversee Reinsurance marketing activities such as: email marketing, content creation, conferences and webinars. Strong collaboration with the Corvus Marketing team will be essential

Qualifications 

  • 3-5 years of relevant reinsurance or insurance experience
  • Ability to manage complicated projects with multiple moving parts
  • Strong project management skills and experience
  • Proactive in communication, coordination and delivery with a strong desire to deliver a top notch customer experience
  • Strong ability to influence and coordinate with multiple stakeholders from varying levels and backgrounds
  • Experience with negotiating and advancing commercial and legal discussions for multiple inter-connected legal agreements
  • Basic understanding of insurance regulations and the US insurance market
  • Fluent with creating spreadsheets and presentation decks 
  • Bonus points if you have experience with client-facing financial services, underwriting, wholesale commercial insurance, cyber insurance or IT security. Reinsurance brokerage relationships would be helpful, but not required
