Smartsheet is looking for a high energy and dynamic New Account Specialist. This role will have primary responsibility for servicing inbound sales and related inquiries with a focus on engaging and qualifying all prospective customers. This high profile role reports to the Manager of New Accounts and is based in Smartsheet’s corporate offices in Boston, MA.

Job Responsibilities:

• Become an expert in the features, benefits and application of Smartsheet’s products

• Provide proactive support to customers and prospects

• Excellent follow up with prospects

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records

• Achieve sales support quotas by qualifying prospects

• Conduct needs assessment calls with specific prospects

• Schedule online product demonstrations

• Strong writing skills and excellent phone manner

• Confidence and interest in problem solving

• A passion for exceeding expectations

• Gather and communicate market intelligence to the company

• Prospect into and qualifies trial leads and run a new business sales cycle from end to end

• Through deep discovery, identify the customer's business needs and present how Smartsheet can address this.

• Forecast against monthly quotas and maintain up-to-date Salesforce information

• Manage a high volume of outreach per day

• Identify the difference between a transactional vs. strategic sale, and adjust approach for both

Requirements:

• 1-2 years proven sales track record - preferably in a SaaS environment

• Must have an understanding of the different steps involved in a sales cycle and must know how to leverage each stage in the sales cycle to advance the sale

• Operate with a sense of urgency and has a positive, winning attitude

• High energy and track record of excellence

• Previous successful sales experience OR a strong interest in a selling role

• Independent, highly motivated, and success driven approach to activities

• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

• Highly effective problem solving skills and outstanding written and verbal communication skills

• Passion for working with emerging technologies and an ability to understand new technical concepts

• Excellent work ethic; this job requires flexibility to meet customer expectations

• Motivated by closing business and the creation of large commission checks

• A completed BA/BS degree
