National Account Manager- QxH (Remote)
The National Account Manager for SharkNinja, will report to the Sales Director and play an integral role in driving world class account management initiatives by working closely with those retailer merchants in collaboration with SharkNinja corporate teams (sales planning, category planning & analysis, supply chain, customer service and finance) to meet sales & profit, distribution and digital goals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate Best in Class account management, driving growth in Revenue and Net Margin to help us achieve and exceed our goals. Develop and execute a strategic plan to win for your business, with a clear path to goal achievement.
- Ability to be a successful sales leader, acting as the “business manager “of your business, including cross-functional team leadership, financial and analytical savvy and demonstrated thought leadership on how to achieve breakthrough goals at your accounts.
- Help sales director to manage customer profitability, working closely with internal teams to develop quotes for new items, and manage promotional spending/strategy within ROI goals.
- Own and support managing “Joint Business Plans” for key categories. Must help to build strategies that support both SharkNinja and JBP goals each fiscal year. Report and provide recommendations on a monthly basis both internally and externally.
- Critical decision making, based on financial analysis of multiple scenarios to drive profitable growth, often diving into the details and understanding what comprises & drives contribution margin $ and %.
- Help to drive the overall account strategy and will own the outcome for customer meetings; leveraging internal support areas.
- Execution focused; mindful of key milestones and a demonstrated ability to create and adhere to a schedule to ensure success.
- Working with the Demand Planning and Supply Chain teams to optimize the flow of goods, including the monthly forecast cycle and long-range plans.
- Working with Category Analytics teams to report POS, trends, factors impacting the business.
- Gathering and communicating competitive factors/insights impacting the business (i.e. new competitive items, competitive promotions, etc.)
- Partner with Strategic Sales to create and execute an annual promotional plan, inclusive of TSV/TS, BIG/SD, SPR, new items and reorders.
- Manage the relationship between on-air sales team, on-air guests and hosts, ensuring training is completed for new product launches and engagement with brand marketing teams for appropriate product messaging.
- Communicate for impact, clear and timely communication with cross functional internal and external vendor rep partners regarding on-air promotional opportunities.
- Work closely with PMO, product development and brand managers to kickoff and execute retailer exclusive skus, from inception to successful product launch.
- Manage third party vendor rep group responsible for the on-air product execution.
Attributes and Skills:
- Intimate knowledge of how to drive sales at home shopping retailers. Preferred sales experience working with national accounts and/or buying experience at a larger retailer like QVC or HSN.
- Gritty sales or merchant leader with strategic vision, execution focused, track record of overcoming obstacles, and team player not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get into the details.
- Strong business acumen and must be financially savvy, complimented by effective oral and written communication.
- Strong analytical and planning skills to gather and analyze large sets of data both internally and externally, coupled with strong negotiation skills working with a large retail account.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to be able to build and maintain effective relationships both customer facing and cross-functionally with internal partners.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and get things done in a fast and every changing environment.
Education and Experience:
- BA/BS Degree
- 5+ years of major account sales management or equivalent experience within buying and/or merchandising at retail.
- Experience managing/working with Home Shopping Channels required.
- Advanced Microsoft office skills (Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
Additional Requirements:
- Position will be ideally located in Tampa or Philadelphia area.
- Ability to travel at will to Boston.
