National Account Manager- Macy's/Big Lots
The National Account Manager for SharkNinja, will report to the Sales Director and play an integral role in driving world class account management initiatives by working closely with Amazon in collaboration with SharkNinja corporate teams (sales planning, category planning & analysis, supply chain, customer service and finance) to meet sales & profit, distribution and digital goals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate Best in Class account management, driving growth in Revenue and Net Margin to help us achieve and exceed our goals. Develop and execute a strategic plan to win for your business, with a clear path to goal achievement.
- Ability to serve as the acting “owner “of your business, including cross-functional team leadership, financial and analytical savvy and demonstrated thought leadership on how to achieve breakthrough goals at your accounts.
- Establish strong relationships with the various business units at Macy and Big Lots.
- Help sales director to manage customer profitability, working closely with internal teams to develop quotes for new items, and manage promotional spending within ROI goals.
- Critical decision making, based on financial analysis of multiple scenarios to drive profitable growth, diving into the details and understanding what comprises & drives contribution margin $ and %.
- Partner with the Sales Director on account strategy and take the lead on establishing an organized approach to execution.
- Execution focused; mindful of key milestones and a demonstrated ability to create and adhere to a schedule to ensure success.
- Working with the Demand Planning and Supply Chain teams to optimize the flow of goods, including the monthly forecast cycle and long-range plans.
- Day to day management of buyer communication, while flowing relevant information back into the organizations.
- Working with Category Analysis teams to report POS, trends, factors impacting the business
- Gathering and communicating competitive factors impacting the business (i.e. new competitive items, competitive promotions, etc.)
Attributes and Skills:
- Intimate knowledge of how to drive sales at Brick and Click and Brick and Mortar accounts and how to be resourceful within their organization. Preferred sales experience working within these spaces.
- Gritty sales or merchant leader with strategic vision, execution focused, track record of overcoming obstacles, and team player not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get into the details
- Strong business acumen and analytical skills complimented by effective oral and written communication.
- Excellent organizational skills to drive day to day management of the business.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to be able to build and maintain effective relationships.
Education and Experience:
- BA/BS Degree
- 8+ years of major account sales management or equivalent experience within buying, planning and/or merchandising at retail.
- Advanced Microsoft office skills (Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to travel to NY and Boston areas frequently.
