Catalant is looking for a highly motivated, experienced leader to develop, train and coach our Business Development Associates. The Business Development team is critical to Catalant’s sales organization as the first touch-point for many of our prospective customers. You will support the BDAs in developing their skills, achieving their performance goals, and growing their careers. If you have experience managing a team to consistently achieve ambitious goals, a passion for mentoring and coaching, and a strong operational orientation, this role is for you!
What you'll do
- Manage and train a team of Business Development Associates
- Own hiring and onboarding strategies to expand and ramp the Business Development team
- Participate in hiring and interview process and help facilitate ramping and coaching of new hires
- Train and coach on topics such as discovery calls, account acquisition, and positioning Catalant to prospects
- Use analytics to identify trends in the market in order to better coach and develop the team
- Assist the team through messaging workshops and analytics to better prepare them to think strategically about their outbound messaging
- Teach new Business Development Associates to assess an account’s potential needs and strategically sell to each prospect, tailoring messaging and managing objections
- Grow the careers of Business Development Associates through ongoing professional development, performance management, and coaching
- Develop and maintain accurate team forecasts
- Work closely with sales managers and account executives to ensure alignment on sales process, opportunity quality, and roles & responsibilities
- Identify and address opportunities for improvements around process, efficiency and productivity
- Run team meetings and collaborate on best practices for outbound strategy in order to provide transparency across the business cohorts
What you'll bring
- 5+ years’ professional experience
- Strong passion for coaching and team management
- Strong analytical skills
- Outstanding communication, organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage and work across multiple teams
- Self-starter attitude with the ability to work in a high-growth, rapidly changing environment
- Proven track record of goal achievement (as individual or manager) and building and managing KPIs for a sales organization
- Data-driven mindset; constantly finding ways to improve productivity, efficiency and impact on the business
- Ability to inspire and motivate an empowered, high-performing team
- Prior Business Development experience
- Previous Salesforce, Salesloft, SalesNav experience preferred
