The Role

As an Account Executive for ChaosSearch, you'll focus on selling our innovative new cloud data and analytics platform to new prospects as well as existing customer accounts within a defined sales territory. To be successful in this role you should be a self-starter who is highly motivated, detail oriented, process driven and consultative in your sales approach. You should be able to demonstrate a consistent track record of success in achieving new customer objectives and revenue targets. You should also be comfortable selling solutions and technologies within a SaaS startup environment to IT contacts at all levels within an organization.

Sales responsibilities include territory and pipeline management, opportunity identification, analyzing cloud solutions, with the ability to access and collaborate on client requirements, lead demonstrations/presentations as well as the ability to provide rapid follow-up on any outstanding technical questions, with the goal of ensuring optimal customer support and service throughout the sales process.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a territory to acquire, develop, scale, and maintain new business customers.
  • Promote and sell directly to end customers and engage with AWS and related partners.
  • Participate in AWS, GoogleCloud and Azure events / seminars.
  • Manage end-to-end relationships with customers, including upsells and renewals.
  • Use your deep product knowledge to demonstrate solution selling techniques, uncover customer challenges, and deliver valuable solutions.
  • Partner with our Boston-based team of technical sales, operations, and marketing experts to successfully prospect into new customers.
  • Develop and execute strategies to increase revenue growth within assigned accounts and customers.
  • Drive an efficient sales cycle from appointment to close.
  • Build long-term relationships with customers and stay connected in order to expand business.
  • Manage and build a growing pipeline with accuracy and predictability.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA or equivalent in IT, SaaS, or AWS / Cloud sales background.
  • 6+ years in a SaaS Cloud solution sales role. A history of success landing and growing business from mid sized SaaS businesses to Fortune 1000.
  • Proven persuasion and negotiation skills.
  • Confirmed ability to prospect and network across larger accounts.
  • Ability to conduct in-depth sales presentations, including product demonstrations that highlight key benefits, return on investment, and the value of our solution and services.
  • Expertise leveraging Salesforce, HubSpot, and LinkedIn.
