We are looking for a smart, energetic and hard-working sales professional to help grow the TripAdvisor’s expanding display advertising business. The successful candidate must be assertive, creative, and resourceful, and must enjoy working in a highly entrepreneurial environment. The position requires elite communication skills as well as a gift for developing and maintaining relationships, and in-depth knowledge of digital media business. S/he will be responsible for hitting quarterly and annual sales targets. This position will be located in our Global HQ in the Greater Boston area
What you’ll do:
- Sell and develop strategic digital marketing solutions and advertising products through relationships with media agencies and industry clients
- Collaborate with internal sales, product and analytics teams to achieve customer centric sales goals
- Educate and influence partners on value of TripAdvisor’s as premium publisher through data driven presentation
What You Will Bring to the Team
- 5+ years’ experience selling digital advertising with responsibility for an annual quota of at least $2 million
- Exhibits integrity though fair and ethical behavior toward others and a demonstrated sense of responsibility and commitment
- Sound business judgment as evidenced by past work successes and references
- Strong analytical skills that can be deployed to grow our business
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills that enable clear and convincing argument
- High-level presentation skills are a must (and we will ask you to demonstrate these for us)
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively, sell strategically and take ownership of the sales process
- Self-starting ability: the successful candidate will be able to make things happen independently while tapping into an established eco-system
- Track record of developing long-term relationships with (and commitments from) clients and agencies
- Teamwork skills essential; sense of humor required; overdeveloped egos need not apply
- Understanding of the importance of self-reflection as it relates to own strength and weaknesses/self-development/seeking of feedback
- Recent and successful track record of sales to the travel industry is a plus, but not a mandatory
- College degree required
