Overview

The Director, Inside Sales will create and execute a sales strategy to drive significant new customer acquisition rates and bookings growth for our Dealspace and Fundspace solutions. Having successful experience selling complex business solutions to a broad range of corporations and alternative investment firms, the Director will lead a Corporate Development team selling our Dealspace solutions into the C-suite of target enterprises, as well as an Alternative Investment team that is responsible for selling Fundspace into alternative investment accounts. The Director will be responsible for staff development, coaching as well as performance management.

About the Team

The Inside Sales organization is responsible for the full sales cycle from opportunity identification through close in the high-growth SaaS space with a broad range of companies and industries, with a focus on selling our Dealspace and Fundspace solutions to target executives at key accounts. Intralinks is a sales-driven organization that provides the tools, training, and internal support for success. 

Responsibilities

  • History of building and leading high velocity insides sales and business development teams.
  • Strong ability to coach and develop new sales and business development reps into top performers on the inside sales team.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the competitive environment, market trends, and new customer and/or market opportunities.
  • Ability to lead the sales effort at the c-level with customers.
  • Knowledge of the collaboration tools industry and the impact of new technologies and trends impacting the M&A ecosystem.
  • Track record of operational excellence including the ability to forecast revenue accurately
  • Ensure the sales team actively maintains a sales pipeline with documented activity in accordance with Intralinks processes and methodologies, using SalesForce.com.
  • Understanding of key buying personas and ability to discuss relevant business challenges for each.
  • Facilitate communication and provide competitive intelligence to Product Marketing
  • Provide day-to-day coaching and mentoring to inside sales team
  • Deliver accurate team level forecasts
  • Ability to communicate with a diverse set of sales and marketing leaders across the organization

Basic Qualifications

  • BA/BS required
  • 8+ years of related sales experience
  • A “roll up your sleeves” mentality and a leader who has experience working in a highly demanding, fast-paced environment where you will need to wear many hats; and need to be able to hit the ground running.
  • Proven success of managing a large sales team selling a SaaS product.
  • CRM experience, preferably SalesForce.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment.
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivated and driven.
  • Interest and ability to enable and develop other sales staff to achieve targeted objectives
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and web-based technologies.

Desired Qualifications

  • Track record of over-achieving quota in past sales positions.
  • Familiarity with Sandler selling concepts
  • Prior experience of managing a technology product through a client’s security and compliance assessments.
  • Ability to work with internal departments to ensure customer success.
  • Continuously strive to improve sales effectiveness and business acumen.
  • Prior supervisory experience a plus.
