What is a Market Development Representative (MDR)?

MDR's are specialized sales representatives that focus on inbound prospects and marketing qualified leads (MQL's).

MDR's will take inbound phone calls, chats, and respond to contact forms to assess the qualification of a prospect’s needs to Similarweb's solutions.

As a Market Development Representative At Similarweb:

  • You will be the first touchpoint for our customers and will have to understand the customer needs and help them to see the value that Marketing Intelligence brings their company
  • Find interesting insights and data about our prospects and prove this value to them verbally and in writing
  • As a part of the Demand Generation team, you will be in charge of creating the meetings that feed our sales organization
  • Partner with Marketing to brainstorm and execute campaigns that show value and insights to our extensive registered user base 

 

What will I bring to the team?

  • Some internship or professional experience is beneficial but not required
  • Recent or future graduate from an accredited college or university
  • Strong work ethic, high integrity, energy, and dedication
  • Previous customer-facing or marketing experience is preferred
  • Phone, email, and chat sales experience is beneficial but not required
  • Experience with Salesforce would be ideal
  • Spanish speakers are preferred but not required
