Business Development Representative
Overview
Through strategic and careful communication, this role will be the first contact for prospects of InterSystems’ newest line of business, InterSystems IRIS Data Platform, via outbound campaigns. Qualifies IRIS Data Platform prospects and produces quality leads for the InterSystems Market Development and Sales Team. This position supports the front line of extended software sales, on a team that works with strategic startups to enterprise level accounts.
Responsibilities
- Conduct outbound calling campaigns to targeted prospect organizations
- Conduct industry research to find potential leads and sales opportunities, along with updating and maintaining current data within marketing systems accordingly
- Follow-up on marketing-generated inbound leads and inquiries
- Handle a variety of communication including, but not limited to, cold-calling, warm follow-ups, email campaigns
- Achieve yearly goals for assisting the team in lead generation
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of business development/telesales/marketing experience
- Superior demonstrated ability to communicate using technical concepts
- Experience in a B2B technology sales environment
- Experience using Salesforce CRM or similar technology
- Ability to be a team player and collaborate with a sales team
- Goal oriented and self-motivated, with a passion for the technology industry
- Emphasis on big data, finance, and/or software sales a plus
- Desire to learn or knowledge of new technology/software
- Fluency with both Mac and PC environments, MS Office and SalesForce.com

- Bachelor’s degree required
