We’re a SaaS startup based in Charlestown looking to bring on a BDR who will play a critical role in building Rekener’s sales pipeline for our Sales Rep Scorecard application.  

As a BDR, you will follow up on inbound leads, identify qualified leads and move those leads through our process.  You will also create opportunities through outbound prospecting to target accounts. If you’re energetic, driven, ambitious and looking to kick off your career in sales, this is an incredible opportunity.

To crush it in this role, you’ll need to...

  • Consistently achieve daily/weekly/monthly activity targets and quota

  • Quickly learn and evangelize the value prop and power of Sales Rep Scorecards

  • Build and maintain consistent activity levels - inbound lead follow up and outbound sourcing and email / call cadences

  • Quickly identify potential deals and moving those deals through the process

  • Identify customer pain points and demonstrating how a solution can address those pain points

  • Build strong relationships with customers and prospects

  • Manage all information  in Salesforce

  • Manage your time, prioritize your work and stay focused

  • Use communication tools that enable a high degree of collaboration, both in real time as well as in asynchronous mode - such as Slack, Trello, Salesforce

You will have the following education, experience and skills...

  • 0-1 year of related experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or a related discipline

  • A strong desire to have a career in sales

  • Ability to maintain consistent activity levels

  • Desire to be coached, trained and mentored

  • A growth mindset and an unrelenting hunger to improve

  • Excellent organization skills

  • Skilled conversationalist

  • Persistence and resilience - you handle objections and rejections well

  • Collaborative team player

  • The personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to corporate mission

A day in the life (well, at our current stage but could change)...

  • You will be talking to people on the phone a lot!
    • Responding to inbound leads requesting information on our app
    • Calling qualified prospects to drive demand and set up meetings
  • You will master modern sales processes tools and use them to hit your goals
    • Researching accounts and prospects and using sales cadences to drive demand
    • Using tools like Salesforce, HubSpot, ZoomInfo and LinkedIn to accelerate and automate your process
  • You’ll work closely with our experienced growth execs, teaming up to land new business
    • BDRs and Growth Execs collaborate to generate our customers
    • We’re all passionate about using data to improve sales performance and we love to help our customers succeed
    • We have an amazing team of experienced sales pros who all started their careers as BDRs - you will learn what made them successful while working with them to land new customers
  • We do a daily Growth stand-up to review:
    • Qual calls, demos, and opps created
    • Current month targets and deals tracking to close
    • Current customer status/updates
    • Things we learned the previous day
  • We collaborate and communicate in person and in Slack all day long
  • Exchange a Meme and laugh once in a while...okay, probably more than once in a while!
