We’re expanding a team of driven, focused, smart people who want to make a meaningful impact on the success of world-class software organizations. Appcues is looking for a creative self-starter to be the very first Account Manager to own retention and upsells across our largest customer base.

 

Appcues is a SaaS platform used by thousands of companies to improve their products without writing any code. Our customers, such as Segment, Lyft and Instacart, embed Appcues in their products to influence user behavior and grow their business through beautiful in-app experiences they design. 

 

As our first Account Manager at Appcues, you will be responsible for driving upsell and expansion opportunities from our 900+ self-serve customers. We recently added new functionality to our product, and this is a timely opportunity to create more value for these customers. You will analyze usage and customer data to identify upsell opportunities, act as a product advisor to enable customers to realize the full value of our product, and collaborate with Customer Success to ensure successful product adoption. The first-class experience you provide will meaningfully impact our customers’ success of using Appcues, which will impact your success. About the role

  • Prospecting - With our largest customer base as your territory, a lot of your prospecting will be done by analyzing large sets of data.
  • Collaborating - You can expect to closely collaborate with members of the Customer Success, Marketing and Sales team to drive retention and upsells from your book of business.
  • Workshoping - For our customers that are not yet using the full potential of our product, you will act as a product expert and jump on the phone with them to showcase important Appcues functionality they might be missing.
  • Negotiating - You will own the negotiating and closing of upsell opportunities.
  • Learning - As the first person in this role in the company’s history, you have to be open to feedback, willing to learn and comfortable with fast changes.

  • You are a good listener who truly enjoys helping others. You are at your very best when you get to hop on the phone and solve problems for customers.
  • You get creative with data. You are excited to look at large datasets of product usage, spot trends, and identify the best upsell targets.
  • You have +1 years of AM or closing experience.
