Sales Manager, Mid-Market @ Klaviyo!
The MM+ Sales Manager is responsible for recruiting, training, developing, and supporting both new and experienced Account Executives to achieve ambitious new‑business goals on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. You'll drive performance through coaching and development, maintain a strong handle on forecast accuracy, and focus on key leading indicators that set the team up for success.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Recruit, interview, hire, and train new team members.
  • Oversee the daily workflow and ensure smooth operations.
  • Conduct regular 1:1s with direct reports to provide coaching and guidance.
  • Drive and motivate the team around key objectives and goals.
  • Identify performance gaps and implement improvement plans.
  • Provide constructive, timely performance evaluations.
  • Handle disciplinary actions and terminations in accordance with company policy.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and ensure the accuracy of team forecasts.
  • Drive outbound efforts focused on generating and closing new business.
  • Build and refine training and development programs; create scalable curricula for ongoing skill growth.
  • Analyze performance trends and collaborate across product, marketing, training, support, and sales enablement.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities
  • Proven ability to manage team cadences (1:1s, team meetings) with a clear strategy for generating and closing complex outbound opportunities.
  • Experience managing or selling into accounts with legal reviews, RFPs, ROI reporting, and security assessments.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with highly experienced sales professionals.
  • A passion for training, coaching, and developing others.
  • Data‑savvy, with a sharp eye for trend analysis and performance metrics.
  • Confident, detail‑oriented, organized, and proactive.
  • Excellent sales acumen and customer service orientation.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, sometimes high‑pressure environment.

Education & Experience
  • 3+ years of experience as a Mid‑Market, Enterprise, or Strategic Account Executive.
  • A proven track record as a consistent top sales performer (MarTech experience a plus).
  • 2+ years of management experience (preferred in mid‑market/enterprise/strategic sales).
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree or higher is a plus.

Our salary range reflects the cost of labor across various U.S. geographic markets. The range displayed below reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all our US locations. The base salary offered for this position is determined by several factors, including the applicant's job-related skills, relevant experience, education or training, and work location.
In addition to base salary, our total compensation package may include participation in the company's annual cash bonus plan, variable compensation (OTE) for sales and customer success roles, equity, sign-on payments, and a comprehensive range of health, welfare, and wellbeing benefits based on eligibility. Base Pay Range For US Locations:
$150,000 - $150,000 USD
