At SharkNinja, the VP, Program Management leads the IT Project Managers and has end-to-end responsibility of one or more Business Process/IT Transformation programs. The VP, Program Management is accountable for shaping the program approach and achieving the desired outcomes through delivery. The position involves:

· Managing projects and resource management within the program

· Stakeholder and sponsor communications

· Reporting

· Program financial management

 

Key Responsibilities

· Provides overall program leadership, guidance, and manages all aspects of a given program, including requirements gathering, business case creation, and implementation.

· Oversees the execution of the program, its progress compared with the plan and the delivery of agreed deliverables.

· Partners with the executive sponsor to communicate program goals, objectives and outcomes.

· Leads regular interactions with the executive sponsor and key stakeholders to inform, alert, and negotiate to ensure delivery of the program outcome.

· Leads the development and maintenance of stakeholder mapping, communications and reporting.

· Manages program level risks and interdependencies, ensuring identification, monitoring and reporting of all assumptions, risks and mitigation plans.

· Establishes and ensures appropriate governance functions for the program, in accordance with enterprise policies and practices, on behalf of the executive sponsor or senior responsible owner.

· Directs the creation and maintenance of the required program documentation and artifacts.

· Develops and controls the program budget and manages expenditure within agreed spending plans.

· Ensures and balances the availability of the required skills and competencies across project teams within the program.

· Monitors and coordinates dependencies across the program and resolves conflicts.

· Ensures clear business processes and operating models are defined for the program and that change management plans are built into the program.

 

 

Education

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

 

Experience:

· 10+ years of experience in IT business/industry

· 8+ years in diverse roles with increasing leadership responsibilities across major projects and programs

· 5+ years of people leadership

· Demonstrated experience in leading ERP transformations and/or other large IT platform implementations; Oracle experience a plus

· Demonstrated experience in leading diverse, cross functional teams and in managing “upward” among senior leadership

· Experience leading and delivering large-scale IT transformation and migration programs (e.g., Financials, ERP) notably including SaaS

· Agile program delivery experience preferred

· PMI certification preferred

 

Knowledge & Skills

· Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to develop and communicate the program objectives, inspire and motivate staff, and maintain alignment with the business strategy.

· A high degree of political sensitivity, astuteness and the ability to use the informal power structure of the organization to achieve program success and overcome obstacles.

· Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, as well as strong skills as a negotiator to reach consensus, alignment and commitment.

· Ability to build, coach and develop strong teams.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to effectively communicate with technical and nontechnical audiences.

· Strong business acumen, including industry and domain-specific knowledge of the organization and its business units. Familiarity with industry trends and innovation.

· Understanding of standard business processes and change management best practices.

· Project management skills to manage overall transformation and continuous improvement projects across multiple geographies and business functions.

· Excellent analytical, strategic planning and execution skills.

· Knowledge of project planning tools, such as Microsoft Project and Project Server, with evidence of practical application.

· Knowledge and experience with Agile delivery (e.g., Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) including Jira

· Deep understanding of:

· Current and emerging technologies.

· How other organizations are employing current and emerging technologies to drive digital business.

· How other organizations can use current and emerging technologies to drive digital business.
