The Job
We are looking for a Hardware and Materials Technical Project Manager to join our team. This individual will represent DUST’s clients internally, and ensure that hardware and materials projects are delivered on time, within budget, https://app.breezy.hr/app/c/dust-identity/positions/067d2caf0cfc/edit/description#and with high quality. The successful candidate possesses a background in technical project management that allows them to manage multiple complex projects in parallel while seamlessly interacting with cross-functional stakeholders. They should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges.
Prior project management experience in key technical domains - consumer and electronic hardware development, materials processing and production - is a necessity for the role.
What You’ll Do
- Be a part of a close-knit, hardworking team that has a direct impact on the success of the company and the product the customer receives.
- Facilitate dialogues cross-functionally with the go-to-market and engineering teams to understand user needs, critical quality characteristics, and translate into project requirements.
- Coordinate and drive all aspects of hardware/materials production projects for internal and external clients, from inception to completion
- Define specifications, work instructions, process flows, timeline and resourcing requirements for hardware and materials-related development projects.
- Track the daily tasks of technical personnel while ensuring sufficient progress towards milestones.
- Build expert knowledge of our business processes and convey knowledge to others through the generation of procedures, FAQs, and other technical documentation.
- Provide reports indicating development activity status, analyzing schedules, and identifying project red flags.
- Monitor DUST Identity facility readiness vs. project roadmaps and proactively coordinate new equipment identification to ensure timely and effective installation.
- Research and evaluate hardware and materials technology options and weigh the cost/benefit analysis when making large purchases on behalf of the company
What You’ll Bring
- BS in Engineering
- 5 years experience in industry
- Experience interfacing with customers and gathering requirements
- Technical background in product development, automation, or materials processing/production
- Experience with common product and process development processes and practices
- Project management experience (PMP desired but optional)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working with junior engineers

Compensation: Market Competitive + Equity
