This Program Manager role is responsible for coordinating the work of our amazing team members with one of our main client’s team. Once the current COVID-19 situation subsides, you will have the unique opportunity to work on-site and from our brand new office in the heart of Harvard Square ensuring we deliver excellent work that is well-aligned with both our clients’ needs and Extension Engine’s core values.

 What you can expect to do

  • Collaboratively lead a multi-disciplinary team to provide Development/QA, Program Management, and Hosting/Support.
  • Support the continued success and growth of mature learning software products, incorporating feedback from multiple stakeholders to prioritize improvements and refactoring
  • Manage all facets of client engagement including requirements gathering, plan development, scrum meetings, resource management and, ultimately, delivery.
  • Develop project timelines and resource plans and track overall project health (staff time and expenses) to ensure the project is delivered on time and budget.
  • Proactively providing weekly project status reports to key stakeholders. We believe in over-communicating with our clients.
  • Have an on-site presence with the client, helping to support current and future projects.
  • Work with a variety of data sources - extracting knowledge and actionable information from massive datasets
  • Coordinate deployment with dev teams to ensure code promotion is done as scheduled and to maintain environment stability for QA testing and UAT.

  • Solid grasp of the agile software development process, including requirements gathering, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and running effective demos and retrospectives.

  • Ability to manage a wide range of communication styles and the confidence to navigate challenging situations
  • Great management skills – Ability to lead teams of engineers and designers, delivering products within schedule and budget
  • Passionate about delivering technology products
  • GSD (Get [Stuff] Done) Attitude – Work hard and be focused on delivering real, tangible value to our clients
  • 5+ years experience in project management in a digital technology environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
