Job Description

Our Technical Content Project Manager is responsible for managing the proposal development process in response to Requests for Proposals (RFPs). The Technical Content PM will evaluate requirements, acquire content from subject matter experts and team members as needed, formulate clear and compelling responses, translate content and client needs into effective messaging, and comply with all solicitation requirements.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all proposal activity within assigned territories, including managing projects, drafting client-specific executive summaries, responding to technical requirements, and competitively positioning Rapid7 products and services to address customers’ desired business outcomes
- Work closely with cross-functional subject matter experts to complete pre- and post-sales documentation; edit documents to ensure grammatical and technical accuracy, as well as to ensure consistency of messaging, tone, voice, and brand
- Maintain clear and effective communications with stakeholders to clarify expectations, communicate roles and responsibilities to contributors, and ensure timely delivery of content
- Write Statements of Work, corporate background statements, personnel and management sections, and strategic content as needed to satisfy internal business demand
- Contribute to evolution of team and proposal strategy, including performing competitive analysis and innovating new means of supporting the sales process
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of Rapid7’s portfolio
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and 2 years of professional experience required; degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills
- Ability to work well both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines
