Evolv is looking for a Strategic Sourcing Manager to build and implement a strategy that meets our corporate growth goals and aligns with our procurement operation. This position will be highly visible across the organization to successfully scale the business, work closely with cross-functional business partners and align procurement activities within their teams. This role requires the individual to quickly become familiar with Evolv’s products and an enterprise-wide supply chain. Unlike traditional roles, this individual must focus on a steep manufacturing ramp that requires On-Time supplier delivery without losing sight of costs. You will be a key part of growing our manufacturing capability by 300% in the coming year.

What will you do:

• Lead and develop the strategic sourcing process across the organization and enterprise to include Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, Contract Manufacturing, and the Companies’ suppliers
• Formulate procurement strategies and develop implementation plans
• Establish targeted Master Service Agreements with suppliers that are focused on supply reliability, quality, cost reduction, and continued source of supply
• Identify requirements, verify the selected suppliers, and deliver at scale
• Evaluate and define second sourcing requirements
• Perform strategic analysis and present alternative opportunities to key operational leads
• Develop appropriate risk management strategies which anticipate and address an extensive range of scenarios to assure the supply of complex components for final assembly at contract manufacturers
• Lead and facilitate contract development to include negotiation and execution
• Utilize Continuous Improvement to drive the resolution of issues and improve supplier performance.

Requirements

• A technical bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience ideally supporting electromechanical products
• Extensive experience leading sourcing initiatives of all kinds (e.g., rapid sourcing, targeted negotiations, complex category strategies, supplier relationship management, outsourcing)
• History of successfully establishing Supplier Service Agreements creating a win-win solution for the company and supplier
• Self-motivated, flexible, and creative leader, able to prioritize, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced and demanding environment
• Outstanding strategic skills with the ability to transform general goals into actionable plans
• Working knowledge of manufacturing ERP systems and sourcing tools
• Skilled negotiator with experience developing and executing complex negotiation strategies
• Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to lead, interact with, influence, resolve conflict and drive decisions among individuals from a variety of cultures and disciplines
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant applications.
