Sr. Executive Programs Manager
Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dynamic strategist and marketer to join the Global Events team as a Sr Executive Program Manager reporting to the VP of Events.
This role will be charged with managing and executing impactful and results-driven engagements with Executives in the HR community by building executive relationships in our client base, defining ways to build advocacy opportunities between clients and prospects.
This role is a tremendous opportunity to define, develop, design and execute programs around our premiere event Workhuman LIVE in both the U.S. and Ireland, as well as third-party events, roundtables, briefings, and more.
The right candidate is a highly detail-oriented individual, who is comfortable interfacing with high-level exec customers in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment. You are well versed in partnering with executive stakeholders, sales and service leaders and marketing program leads to assess critical account needs for customer executive support; make recommendations based on insights gathered from customer and stakeholder feedback.
Ideal candidates for this role have a strong desire to roll up sleeves; and proven experience managing priorities and working effectively across several internal stakeholders and priorities.
Prior experience in driving strategic programs with customer executive audiences is a prerequisite. You will become the program advocate, marketing and evangelizing the program both internally and externally.
Program Management
- Own the end-to-end Executive Forum program in both the U.S. and Europe
- Define the criteria, create, and revise processes and procedures in support of the program's overall objectives
- Drive clear understanding of meeting objectives and strategy, with the goal of alignment across all attendees
- Manage indirect reports to deliver on the strategy for executive programs on an individual project basis
- Develop customized agendas to meet the objectives of each Executive engagement
- Recommend & schedule speakers for programs by leveraging a thorough understanding of speaker strengths and expertise areas
- Schedule and host pre-briefing meetings to ensure account teams collaborate with speakers to understand the account status and meeting objectives
- Follow up with sales teams to make sure briefing action items are identified and assigned appropriately
- Research industry trends, competitive landscape and HR events, making recommendations on sponsorship, speaker and participation for 3rd party executive level events
Experience Design
- Design, creative, highly competitive, person and virtual white-glove experiences suited to executive audiences
- Create personalized journey for executive audience from reach out to post-event follow-up
- Align experience to program objectives, and attendee business goals, creating customized agendas, relevant content, and peer to peer alignment
- Be a presence at events as an active facilitator and/or presenter while in executive forums, and briefings.
Audience Acquisition
- Create and implement internal and executive facing communication protocols and plans
- Partner with both event and customer Acquisition teams, web team and build direct outreach program/direct mailings for the target audience
- Partner with ABM teams to develop "what's next" plans in conjunction with strategic account development
- Working with 3rd party acquisition teams for externally hosted events to drive engagement and proactive alignment with sales goals for preset meetings and engagements
Content Management
- Gather, share, interpret and analyze attendee feedback from Executive Engagements to key stakeholders
- Define requirements for the executive content needs and validate with internal teams
- Work with Speaker Bureau, content management teams to build executive-level content for speaking engagements, internal and external events
- Research and define future direction on content, partners, sponsorships, and other
Process Management
- Manage executive engagements projects as assigned
- Continually improve the executive experience to hosted events
- Manage the processes related to current and future executive engagement programs (executive forums, executive councils, and/or executive briefings)
- Continually evaluate process improvements to enable better experiences
- Manage and consolidate metrics and reporting of all programs
- Manage and coordinate relationships & interactions with different business units impacted by executive engagements (marketing, business development, sales ...)
- Provide executive-level reporting regularly against KPI's and Pipeline metrics
Requirements
- 7-10 years managing executive programs/events/experiential programs
- 7-10 years in customer-facing role and proven experience presenting to executives
- HR industry background is a plus
- Must be well versed in building both digital and in-person experiences
- High sales acumen and customer-growth mindset
- Ability to deal with last-minute changes and deadlines while showing grace under pressure
- Ability to travel to and represent the company at executive events
- Effectively manages time to support a global team in different time zones
- An effective executor who can maintain and manage timelines independently
- Highly organized and efficient project management skills with strong attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
