Special Projects Leader

We are presently seeking a talented and self-motivated leader to work in our Operations department driving Special Projects. The ideal candidate will have relevant project management and leadership experience driving key initiatives in a focused and data driven manner.

The Special Projects Leader will be responsible for:

  • Direct supervision of focused Special Projects team driving key initiatives in Operations
  • Serving as player-coach by leading team, but also contributing to daily team tasks
  • Leading strategic projects to improve manufacturing and supply chain processes and products to support company growth
    • Examples of projects include - Cost Down, Global Expansion, Data Analytics & Forecasting
  • Working collaboratively with Product Mgmt, Engineering, and Operations teams to ensure alignment in project goals and deliverables
  • Assessing project risks and developing risk management strategies
  • Informing leadership team of project progress and risks

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of applicable technical and project management experience
  • Prior experience in building and managing teams
  • Experience in fast-paced technology development roles
  • Experience with the transition of technologies from R&D to production
  • Strong track record of building and maintaining solid relationships with internal and external customers and vendors
  • Ability to resolve complex issues in creative, efficient, and effective ways
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical field

Preferred Experiences:

  • Experience with complex electromechanical equipment and processes
  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management systems
  • Additive manufacturing
  • Contract manufacturing experience
  • Knowledge of ERP systems
