About this roll* (Responsibilities) 

  • Be curious and help the team identify and implement the most valuable Agile practices, tailored to the team’s needs. Provide the “right” amount of support with the goal of leading the team to learn and maintain healthy Agile habits and become self-organizing
  • Work closely with the Product Owner to ensure timely prioritization of the Product Backlog, Backlog Refinement, and that User Stories are written following best practices
  • Facilitate work management ceremonies such as daily scrums, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
  • Capture and socialize metrics and team health data to improve forecasts and help the team maintain a sustainable pace
  • Help the team to size work, commit to it confidently, and maintain focus on the highest priority work
  • Identify and remove impediments to progress
  • Regularly review metrics, communicate progress to Stakeholders, anticipate bottlenecks, and provide escalation management

Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)

  • Experience with applying concepts from different Agile approaches (e.g. Scrum, Kanban).
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
  • Ability to adapt nimbly to a dynamic environment of shifting priorities, demands, and timelines.
  • Experience with technical tools such as Slack, Jira, Confluence, Zoom, GSuite
  • 3+ years of Scrum Master experience in a technical organization
  • Experience teaching Agile concepts to team members who are new to Agile or have misconceptions about Agile.
  • Proven track record for promoting open and constructive communication.
  • Creative and effective in proposing solutions to complex, time-critical problems
  • Ability to collaborate with and influence people at various levels
