GRM US Service Tech is looking for a Scrum Master to join our team and lead the Safeco Manage My Account (MMA) teams, as we build the best-in-class portal for Safeco customers to self-service their policies.
The Scrum Master will partner with the Product Owners, Managers, and Engineers to deliver the highest-value features that work reliably for our customers. As a team member, the Scrum Master champions techniques that build execution discipline and accountability. As part of portfolio leadership, the Scrum Master excels in transparency, continuous improvement, and trust. The Scrum Master also fosters team norms that ensure we nourish a healthy culture inclusive of all perspectives.
What does our team do? The MMA team is made up of 3 squads that build the Safeco Manage My Account application that Safeco customers use to pay their bill, view their ID cards and documents, view their coverages, make policy changes, and file claims. We're currently working on several high impact initiatives, including retiring our legacy customer security platform as well as enabling new payment options to provide more flexibility to our customers.

In this role you will:
- Lead each team's Agile practice. Facilitate daily scrums, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and planning meetings. Coach the team to higher levels of Agile maturity.
- Manage interdependencies between agile teams, including upstream and downstream teams.
- Work with the Product Owner to support short and long-term release planning as well as to keep the work backlog healthy and prepared for execution.
- Partner with the Engineering Manager on strategy, role objectives, and escalations.
- Represent teams to stakeholders.
- Coordinate team activities that arise from production issues.
- Facilitate transparency, inspection, and adaption within the teams and portfolio.
- Observes & provides consistent, impactful feedback for team Agile development.
- Anticipate and address impediments to team delivery.
- Foster close cooperation across all team members within the train.
- Participate in Scrum Master Guild and portfolio forums that discuss strategy and best practices.
- Build a trusting environment where problems may be raised without fear of reprisal.
- Develop and track metrics that improve decision-making and team effectiveness.
- Bring industry-leading inspiration and techniques to the team and portfolio.
- Lead a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging experimentation and innovation in processes.
- Promotes the use of/experimentation with quality/engineering practices (BDD, TDD, Pairing, CI/CD, etc.) within the teams and portfolio.
- Create a fun and enjoyable work experience for the teams in a distributed team environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor`s degree in a relevant field (business, computer science, humanities, etc
- ) and at least 5 years related experience
- Beginner/1st level Scrum certification preferred, not required
- Knowledge/training equivalent to advanced/2nd level certifications from a reputable Lean-Agile organization a plus but not required (PSM II, ICAgile Professional - Agile Team Facilitation (ICP-ATF), ICAgile Professional - Agile Coaching (ICP-ACC))
- Experience being on multiple Agile teams in a variety of different contexts
- Scrum certification strongly preferred
- Experience working in a scaled agile framework preferred
- Thorough knowledge of business functions and extensive understanding of business operations, strategies and objectives
- Track record of continued and recent education in Lean-Agile including training, conferences, user groups, cohorts, self-study, etc
