IRIS Data Platform:

A growing portfolio of products focusing on high performance database management, interoperability, analytics and as a complete cloud-first platform.
A strong desire to increase cadence of release through CI/CD/DevOps methodologies.
A need to reduce complexity and dependencies between products and components.
Maintain and improve quality in reliability of our products.
With a variety of customers and deployment needs, our products are released to end user organizations, and solution partners customers for on premise, cloud deployment and redistribution.

Responsibilities:

Interface and communicate with development managers, quality development managers, product managers and release engineering managers.
Manage up and provide reporting and updates to senior management.
Develop common strategies for release governance.
Establish consistent release management processes.
Facilitate cross group communication.
Manage and track a release calendar.
Inform senior management of exposure to release risk and effectively mitigate it.
Measure release cadence and effectiveness with a view to ongoing improvement and increasing effectiveness through use of release related performance indicators.
Create common standards for release formats, release playbooks and release decision making.
Forecast demand for release resources and identify opportunities for greater efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills:

Leadership and managerial skills
Coordinate cross functional teams towards timely task completion
Communication with management and teams
Understand the shared vision for releases
Interpersonal skills such as facilitation, negotiation and working with a variety of internal stakeholders.
Bachelors in CS or experience with technical/project management

A recent grad finds major career growth

Choe came to InterSystems fresh out of school. With the help of company-provided educational resources and mentorship, she quickly found her footing. Today, she manages the development team for the EMR application, which creates better care processes for hospitals around the globe. In her role, she focuses on keeping her team in sync and clearing blockers so that devs can focus on building software with a real impact.

There was no set path laid out for me at InterSystems. I tackled problems that felt interesting and important to me, and my managers helped clear the path for me.

Tackling tech with real impact

Robinson leads the development team that’s in charge of the user interface of Intersystems’ HealthShare product. He and his team tackle a tough challenge: keeping a large enterprise product up to date and relevant by introducing updates and new tech — while keeping the legacy codebase running smoothly. The payoff for the hard work? Robinson’s team ultimately helps doctors and patients make more informed decisions.

Fried leads the product and development teams in building and maintaining a small but powerful portfolio of products. The team excels in making complicated technology as simple as possible for its customers, which is no easy feat. Upcoming projects include a cloud offering for InterSystems to provide products as a service and a new capability that will put machine learning into the hands of more developers.

Building great products is much more than building what people say they want. You have to understand the fundamental problem and how you can solve it better than anybody else.
